This one is easy A tier the bass and subwoofer + the car material very refined to handle this sound system. Many cars have good sound systems like Toyota with JBL and Nissan with Boss but the materials dance with the sound system 😅. well done Kia

I plan to install an 11 or 12-in designed for the wheel well; has anyone researched this or attempted it yet? I know crutchfield has not made the design fit public and I'm not competent or willing enough to do the research for their program.

All depends on the vehicle. Both companies are capable of making top-notch systems, all depends how much the manufacturer is willing to spend.

I don't think they really advertise those specs, and when they do they don't really specify if its RMS or not, and usually no THD value, so the only spec you should be looking at is how it sounds to your ears during a test drive.

Well you know you have this great audio setup and all but.... unless we have good speakers on our end to hear what you are hearing there really won't be too much for us to tell a difference between cars. It's like playing a 4k movie on a 1080p TV. It will still only be 1080p

KIA has a problem with the infotainment system, they always go as cheap as possible and install a screen that's 10 years old. I have a KIA K5 and it's just unbelievably boring. They did the same thing with this new 2025 K4.
