There is a mistake in the specs mentioned at 1:33. It says engine power at 550rpm. The correct peak power rpm is 5500rpm. Apologies for the confusion.

what would you say as compared to Tank 500
@drivingenthusiastaustralia2 ай бұрын
@@ernishant13 Great question. The Tank 500 hybrid powertrain has too many inconsistencies and odd driving characteristics in my opinion (although good specs on paper). But the interior presentation and luxury feel are nice. This is more of a basic but user-friendly package. Very practical and spacious inside as well. It's also quite a lot cheaper. Hope that helps.

Drove it yesterday. Suspension is pretty good. Seats are very, very comfortable. Enough room to fit 7 adults. Good ground clearance, seating position is a bit higher than other suvs with the same class. Steering is pretty smooth. Comes with heavy duty foot steps. Only issues are, gear knob is not in central panel, its behind the steering (right hand side). Turn signal knob is on your left. Tons of technologies. But bit a lack of power. 7 years, 200,000km warranty. So $41,000 to $50,000, its ok. Not like 76 series landcruiser or sahara when it comes to the point of reliability but hey, even i saw 2021 toyota in my mechanic shop for repairing.

As your driving experience for this model, will that have enough power (petrol engine) for off road capability? Would you make more videos on off road capability and practical driving? As you mentioned you are not big fan of GATI tyres and given Chinese car is it worth spending 51k?

2.4 metric ton truck with turbo petrol power only? Okay. Would love to see the turbo housing after lets say 75,000km (5 years at 15,000km per year) on 91 RON fuel if it survives that punishment. Putting that aside, the design looks good for what it is.

Considering the cx90 is inline 6 petrol or diesel and has better fuel consumption for both , Ldv has to do better.
@Dvladvocate14 күн бұрын
The cx90 is also 25 to 60k more in price champ, The Mazda cx90 is 75 to 110k and at that price I would damn well expect engine options. Quick question how does the cx90 go offroading or towing anything with weight????? I know the answer and it's not what I would be spending 110k on for my preferred suv. Do better mazda but hey you wanna pay for a overpriced jap crossover go for it

Considering the base model CX90 is more than 20 grand more expensive than this top spec model, I'd say LDV are doing alright. If you want more then you need to pay more.
@Coastmac20012 ай бұрын
It's petrol initially, but LDV are or shoulf be bringing in the diesel later in 2025. That's been confirmed by LDV. The new diesel later in 2025 is a MH 48v 2ltr Bi turbo unit with 160 Kw & 500Nm. Tynan motors have the diesel on their initial Dealers Products Guide .

@Coastmac20012 ай бұрын
@JarrodVains-fl8ly it appears the loss of the diesel may only be temporary. A couple of dealers I've contacted have heard that it should appear later in 2025 as a MH oiler . LDV initially had it on their website & so did Tynan Motors . LDV can confirm if it's changed again

Any comments on the support from the brand? I heard that LDV had some issues in the past with rust and warranty claims. It would be good to see if they improved. As for the vehicle, I wish it had anchor points for child seats on the third row and an option for captain style chairs on the second row. Great content! Thanks for posting.

In some countries of Latin America, including Peru where I live, there are several models from LDV which here is known as Maxus. At least their pickups and SUVs are very well built and there is no complaint from customers, which is a good sight for the company as a trusted one. I hope it works for you.

Very slow for 250 hp, somehow the Santa Fe hybrid with 230 hp is still faster
@Dvladvocate14 күн бұрын
Electric motors help with acceleration and getting the petrol motor up to speed faster which gives it the faster 0-100. If the ldv comes out with a hybrid it would be a better comparison but hybrids will always have that edge. The main issue in hybrids is once your out of Electric capacity you are relying on a small 1.6ltr turbo motor to drive which is only 150kw. Big difference in 0-100 times then or when towing or carrying 6 people in a car etc
