The Polestar 4 is priced competitively at $56,300 for the single-motor variant and $64,300 for the dual-motor version. This undercuts its German rivals, such as the BMW iX and Audi e-tron.
The Polestar 4 features a dual-motor powertrain that generates a combined output of 3.8 seconds for a sprint from 0-62 mph. This makes it the quickest Polestar model to date.
In its softest suspension setting, the ride is silky smooth, absorbing bumps with ease. The adaptive dampers' firmest mode effectively minimizes body roll while maintaining a comfortable ride.
Although the Polestar 4 handles well in corners, the steering wheel, accelerator, and brake pedal feel somewhat detached, resulting in a less engaging driving experience. However, the Polestar 3, which is set to be more expensive, is expected to offer more precise handling with its torque-vectoring rear differential.
The headroom improvement, a key selling point, proves minimal. Even for someone of average height, the top of the head still brushes the headliner. The wider field of view, while a notable improvement over a standard mirror, doesn't quite reach the 'revolutionary' status claimed by Polestar. The added functionality of the camera shifting four degrees left or right with turn signals and tilting down during reverse is welcome but not groundbreaking.
However, the display itself is clear and effectively minimizes LED headlight flicker, a common issue with traditional mirrors. This, combined with the wider field of view, does offer a distinct advantage in certain driving situations.

Each ambient lighting color in the Polestar 4 corresponds to a different planet. When activated, the screen displays intricate animations of these celestial bodies along with fascinating facts. The ethereal glow casts a sense of cosmic exploration within the cabin.
