2025 Predictions For EVERY Cedar Fair BEFORE They Become A Six Flags Park!

Will this be the LAST TIME the Cedar Fair parks make their new ride and roller coaster announcements? Since, Cedar Fair & Six Flags are merging soon, things will change, but I wanted to share my predictions with you regarding each Cedar Fair theme park.
I predict that 2025 will be a very good year for new coasters and rides for the Cedar Fair parks.

Something to note for Valleyfair: During the Valleyfair Thaw event the other day, we got word in a QNA with park president Raul Rehnborg about Valleyfair's future: -Since raging rapids was JUST removed this year quietly (maintenance issues since it was built in house), it is almost certain the park is gonna see a new waterpark expansion in 2025. This year, Valleyfair really upped their food game and now they have legit food places to eat at which is significant since before it was just generic and bland burgers, fries, chicken fingers, etc. Now there's a lot more variety of food options with a bunch of restaurants getting revamped. -Raul hinted at big things to come "later on", and earlier in the QNA he did mention that the new coaster addition was "not a matter of if, it was a matter of when" so this PROBABLY means we're getting our new coaster in 2026, and have additions built up for that year. I'd love to see them improve the capacity in the waterpark because right now it is absolutely awful with what is currently offered. A mat racer would do VF a world of wonder but literally anything would work since we might have the worst waterpark in the chain.

Makes sense. VF's wanted to do a waterpark expansion in the back for a while, so it'll be great to see that next year. There's a ton of potential in the Dinos Alive plot for a mini dive better than Emperor, and have no problem with them waiting to get the right CapEx for it.

My CP wish list for the next five years 1. GCI or Gravity Group Wooden Coaster 2. Millennium Island Expansion with a flat rides package 3. Kiddie Kingdom Removal for a Boardwalk Expansion 4. Vekoma Roller Coaster Like Big Bear Mountain 5. Cedar Point Shores Waterpark Expansion with new slides

Kings' dominion needs that new water ride like CW, for soak city. The waterpark hasn't gotten much since lighthouse landing. Also, on Dorney the GM was talking to coaster studios during their video and mentioned that the park originally had plans to build a GCI coaster before the new GM picked the B&M dive coaster. I could see them adding a GCI coaster in the future since that was already on the plans.

I think that after opening the B&M Launched Wing Coaster, Kings Dominion will focus on improving Planet Snoopy with new attractions added to the area.

In addition to the new path off Millennium island you mentioned, I think it would be smart for CP to build a new coaster from there as well. It would force more folks to take the new path, as the past attractions felt tucked away from the familiar loop around the peninsula

Great flat ride and water park suggestions. I'm slightly optimistic about MA getting a decent flat as both Cedar Fair and Six Flags need to demonstrate investment in their smallest properties to get approval to merge. Sadly, this could involve CGA closing / getting spun off sooner than expected. Sending Demon's trains and other spares to Darien Lake would make it easier to sell that lease to an operator like Palace. And while Carowinds is due for a new thrill coaster, I doubt we'll see a woodie on the rapids site so soon after Hurler's retracking. Replacing Flying Cobras with a Zamperla Double Heart makes more sense in the near term

I attended the Spring Thaw at Valleyfair. It was confirmed that they removed Raging Rapids from the water park. They said it was to make way for a future expansion. They also said that a new coaster is coming but they didn’t say when but alluded to 2026, Valleyfair’s 50th anniversary. So my prediction for the next two years will be, not necessarily in this order, major water park expansion, new flat ride or two and a new coaster. But I belief a second coaster within 5 years is a done deal as well. Interesting side note, the building where Dino’s was has been turned into a new restaurant called Loon Landing. Behind it, where the new coaster is most likely, there were massive piles of dirt. Like 40-50’ high. They said it was because they were building a patio off the back of the restaurant. That makes no sense. It would be a great location to watch the new coaster though.

Wonderland is tricky since new teaser walls indicate that the coaster will stretch from Xtreme Skyflyer's plot to the Alpine area. Crossing my fingers for a Mack XSC, however unlikely. And if Cedar Point is reopening the island, they only really need to use the north side by Camp Snoopy. Families are going that way regardless and there's no point in entering the island across from Millie. Just save the STR plot for a woodie replacing CCMR. Also, if Kiddie Kingdom is to be gutted for a Boardwalk expansion, a clone of Racing Railway would fit better than a woodie. Expect they'll give Blue Streak the GG treatment

It would be great to see KI get a entrance plaza coaster, like what Canada's Wonderland has, get rid of Invertigo and put it there, plus make it go over Congo Falls, that would be amazing! Competition is ramping up from Dollywood and KK, so they need to do something to bring excitement to the front of the park, the Vortex plot of land can wait, it is Action Zone's time.

Michigan's Adventure needs a group of new flats. Thats a good way to test the market for a Coaster. Zamperla could design a 5 ride area to add to the park to see if it gets attendance up, if it does, they could get a double heart for the park.

At Valleyfair's Spring Thaw preseason event this past weekend, me and a couple others I talked to all got the implication that the park is aiming to add that major new coaster in 2026 for the park's 50th anniversary. That's not to say the park couldn't add it in 2025, or even a coaster as part of a Planet Snoopy expansion, though.

I was just at Kings Island this past Friday, sad to see Vortex gone and the land just empty right now. I agree, it will likely be 2026 before anything debuts in that space, there's nothing going on there at the moment.

With your Cedar Point prediction, I almost like the idea of the new woodie going on Millennium Island and the Kiddie Kingdom being somewhere up front still. Think about parents and kids having to walk ALL that way for a kids ride. Still love your prediction videos, keep up the great content

As a parent, I agree with this idea :) also I imagine that CP would want to have a clear line-of-sight from the midway to the Grand Pavillion, and a woodie would obstruct the view. But I also agree with Brandon that the Kiddie Kingdom really could use an upgrade.

I agree Kings Island is going to be a water slide year. Also, we agree its going to be 2026 as well for Vortex replacement... its due for sure! Hopefully we get a Vekoma multi launch or Mack Xtreme spinner!!

I'm exicited to be able to go to multiple parks hopefully. I wouldn't mind if they charged more if they were able to spread the Cedar fair experience to the rest of the six flags parks. They really take care of their parks in ever had a bad experience at great America even though when I went it was still paramounts great America which I miss dearly

I think the Six Flags/Cedar Fair parks should spend some time adding new slides for their waterparks. For example, Six Flags New England needs something big to replace the Typhoon and Bonzai Pipelines. Kings Dominion needs a replacement for the Tornado because the from of the waterpark looks dead without it. After the removal of Looping Starship, Soak City at Valleyfair has room for another expansion. It's been almost ten years since Kings Island got a new attraction for Soak City, so a water coaster where the former surf simulator sits would be the perfect addition. Six Flags Hurricane Harbor in New Jersey hasn't gotten any trying thrilling since Big Wave Racer in 2013, and Hurricane Harbor at Six Flags Over Georgia hasn't added anything new since it opened in 2014. Finally, why was Bonzai Pipelines at Six Flags St. Louis removed? It was barely ten years old.

Just rode Oscars Wacky Taxi last Sunday. I've been saying for quite a while that CP desperately need a GCI to complete their coaster collection and a coaster like this would be a great fit in the Boardwalk Kiddie land area.

If you end up doing independent park predictions for 2025 it looks like Waldameer is getting a dry side addition for 2025 that has not been officially purchased yet and the park president started it will not be a coaster (which is a bit of a bummer). Any addition however will be good, it will probably be replacing Spider because that's for sale currently (following the 2024 season)

I live in Erie Pa and I've noticed they are using a new moniker fun is in the air ..I think this could be a tease for the new flat ride in 2025. My guess it's either a zamperla air race or a zamperla endeavor model. One other possibility a larson flying scooter ride. I do think a new coaster is in the works as the park has purchased land of apprx 27 acres

I'm not sure that the plot of land you highlighted for Canada's Wonderland is correct. There hasn't been any land prep done in the area of the little amphitheater, but there is a tunnel and footer prep in the Alpen/International Festival area, beside the mountain. In that area is also Thunder Run's original outdoor electrical station, which they kept and is behind a fence.

That's not the plot of land there using , it's extreme sky flyer the mountains and where toms tiny donuts used to be , there pretty extensive coverage from a KZbinr in the area of the park

My sleeper prediction for Cedar point actually is to open the new tallest coaster in the world 500ft as well heres why Falcons flight is scheduled to open in the Fall of 2025, and if thats true why not open a coaster before Falcons flight in the Summer of 2025? I think that would be perfect for marking as Cedar Point can still say that they were the first to go 500 without needing to be the tallest coaster. Im not saying the that expansion isn’t happening Flat rides are needed at the Point but i definitely can see that open with the new coaster and maybe have it go around Millennium island perhaps. I would also like to see a Waterpark expansion and a new hotel in the former dorms plot because i think Cp Shores needs a lot of help but that would be a rather too large expansion and maybe the park can do that in 2026 instead, or maybe in the same year to draw guest with the new coaster? Idk I guess we’ll find out what the park decides to do and i think it makes sense for Cedar fair to focus on Cp right now rather than Kings island though for sure.

I’m not a fan of this merger. This rivalry between Six Flags and Cedar Fair is the main reason most of the best rides happened. Now this company will have a near monopoly on the American theme park industry and there will be no incentive to do anything else but family rides.

Growing up in Ohio, I thought the the Screamin 'Demon was Kings Islands answer to Cedar Point's Corkscrew, The Beast topping Gemini. Cedar Point's Demon Drop besting Kings Island's fledgeling Bat, but Kings Island quickly counters with King Cobra. Cedar Point tries to answer with Avalanche Run. Cedar Point jabs low with Iron Dragon while Kings Island uppercuts with Vortex. Cedar Point goes for the knockout with Magnum XL200 and Kings Island, stammering, gets off a couple low blows with Adventure Express and Scooby Zoom. I barely new what Six Flags during those years. Believe me, I was nervous this was lost when Cedar Fair bought Kings Island. However, I like todays Kings Island much more than Paramounts Kings Island, and even though they both have the same parent company, each still has its own identity and have added some great rides without a Six Flags park nearby to bolster competitions. Cedar Fair will still compete with United Parks and Resorts, Hersheypark, Herschend Family Ent., Holiday World, Triple Five Group, IB Parks and resorts, Parques Reunidos, EPR Properties, etc.
