You're correct. I think the smartest way to go is to spread out your investments. By putting your money into different asset classes like bonds, real estate, and stocks from other countries, you can lower the risk if one part of the market goes bad.

I've just begun learning about value investing, and I've found that many good stocks are undervalued despite their intrinsic value. If you had $100,000 to create a strong investment portfolio, which stocks would you choose for better returns?
@teresafields41Күн бұрын
I think a good investment portfolio should have three basic things: ETFs for diversification, dividend stocks for cash flow, and leading tech stocks. With your budget, it's a good idea to talk to a fiduciary financial advisor for expert advice.
@williamspach2322Күн бұрын
I totally agree with you. I started out investing on my own too and lost quite a bit. After the 2020 crash, I managed to pull out about $160k. I then invested that money with an analyst, and in just seven months, I made almost $580,000. It's amazing how having the right guidance can turn things around!

Trading on a demo account can definitely feel similar to the real market, but there are some differences. It's important to remember that trading involves risks and it's normal to face looses sometimes. One piece of advice is to start small and gradually increase your investments as you gain more experience and confidence. It might also be helpful to seek guidance from experienced traders or do some research on different trading strategies

In the short-medium term the US market is fucked. 50%+ downturn bear market incoming over the next few years. Still lots of opportunity and undervalued stock in the rest of the world though, and the US market is likely to recover eventually though like after 2008 that might take a decade. If you are investing for the very long term (20+ years to retirement) then just keep DCAing, you'll probably be fine. If your timeline is a lot shorter - I'm moving out of US stocks into global stable dividend stocks and high-yield CLO/BDC/non-US bonds; then buy back into the S&P when it eventually bottoms. I don't play bubbles and US stocks are clearly a bubble right now IMO

In the current market, no, it makes no sense. You need a 20 year time horizon to be buying at current price levels and expect a return. When the market was this richly valued in the past, it has taken 10-25 years to get back to the same level.
@David-lt6lt2 күн бұрын
@@gentronsevenI disagree. Its never too late to start investing but you will either have to take a lot more risk for quicker upside potential or you will have to accept making alot less but either way as long as you pick solid investments whether they go up or down they will likely lose less value then the USD.

I respectfully disagree with you on the DCA at this point. Imaging you try to DCA in 1999. People say never to time the market, but the smart money does it. They buy at the bottom and sell at the top. An example: buy META at 95 or tesla at 110.
@gentronseven2 күн бұрын
I agree with you 100% , I think if I were DCA right now it'd be into a managed fund like Berkshire Hathaway but I think even they're over valued on a PE basis. It's a crowded strategy into a crowded tech sector, the S&P might as well be a magnificent 7 index fund at this point and it has taken over a decade to regain losses when the market was this richly valued before.

The more the Federal Govmnt inflates the dollar supply, the more dollars eventually end up controlled by people who understand the system. The Govmnt must then "create" more money to support an increasing number of people, who don't have enough of the devalued dollars to cover their needs. Govment got far too involved in the personal financial lives of far too many people. Now they can't get out. Dollars, National Debt, GDP, asset prices go up up up

I also put money in a high yield savings account. What we need is when Trump gets in the White House and they start auditing and lowering the cost of running the government. Feminism is a big problem because we have fewer families and lower birth rates. For investors like me I prefer growth but it doesn't have to be crazy. That's why I also prefer dividends or distributions. We need lower costs for housing, lower food costs, and all other costs.
