The touchscreen sucks - I'm often blinded by sunglare from it and some of the features (like the equalizer) are impossible to adust unless you stop the car. I think these gas mileage figures are pure BS...my mileage has been falling since I got this car in October...I'm down to 19 mpg combined!!! The last one at least got 23 mpg combined. The backup camera is also not as good as the last one - more distorted and totally useless in the rain. And they scrambled the buttons on the left side of the steering wheel and I'm always hitting the wrong one now. The only thing I like about this car is the all wheel drive. Hardly enough to put me in a third Subaru. When this lease is up I'm going back to Honda. They know how to build a driver's car. Also forgot to mention the seatbelt alarm...has to be the MOST ANNOYING IN THE INDUSTRY.

That hard acceleration run was a tell-tale test. Lack luster and what a drone queen. Subaru, wake up and put a conventional automatic transmission in your vehicles.

They, like all manufacturers who switched to CVT, did so to improve fuel economy. If they switched to a geared automatic, MPGs would get worse, which already isn't Subaru's strong point.

@@palebeachbum I don't agree, I think the CVT is nothing short of a cost cutting measure. My regular transmissioned Subaru achieved the same mileage as my CVT equipped one. The CVT has the revs high all the time until you're on the H/W. This results in a noisy, poor performing vehicle and the CVT has proven to not be as reliable as conventional auto. My new Toyota Highlander w/ 2.4 Turbo and 8 speed Auto gets the same mileage as my 2022 Outback w/ 2.5 & CVT. Much more HP and Torque, more weight and much smoother to drive.

Subaru is the only brand other than Volvo that I know does a foot and paste interior design. If you look at the entire Subaru lineup right now, im sure you have to look real close to find a difference. Eventually, it’s gonna get stale because there’s nothing that stands out on the interior in any of the models in terms of the front area. Even the engines are shared, but the boxer 4’s aren’t bad, I like the way it sounds, it’s not bad at all like other 4 cylinders and they feel quick. But Subaru definitely has to find a new interior design because this design is getting old. Started from the outback and has trickled its way across the lineup and we haven’t seen anything new since.
