Kirk, tell me that David is not one of the most kind and humble person you've ever met in your life!? I'm a huge fan of his because the light of the Lord just shines in him. You are very fortunate to have a friendship with him. Huge Toyota/ Lexus lover here with a 14 RX and a low mileage 18 GS F-Sport. Great collab tonight guys!

New 4 runner is a homerun for Toyota and combined with the land cruiser. They have a killer line up. 👑. Can't wait until the hardcore enthusiast Post nonsense comments and people comparing unrelated vehicles to the 4 runner lol. Haters and donuts will always exist.

@@tomkillsall new 4 runner is priced perfectly fine and it has multiple trim levels as well.

I did not receive the same “homerun” signal, especially from the two speakers in this video. Maybe in a couple of years when the 4Runner has had a chance to bake a little more. I do hope we get a different vibe once this new truck has been in the wild.

@@rodneywk1 the speakers are enthusiast and old school. One of them was extremely biased when the new GX came out. Now its selling very well and has Long Waiting lists. Same can be said for the other speaker in some term's who was making videos about Tacoma sales yet its the number one best selling mid size truck .in its segment . While the actual buying public very much love the new 4 runner. They are people who don't have the time to argue with people here online. Instead they actually buy them. Everything they say is not correct and some times personal bias is Also included in their opinions.

@@Mylifeislegendary982vd3-vI The problem is that the competition offers the same and in some cases better for less. The reliability argument is gone for now on all the F-platform vehicles which was toyotas only good argument against falling behind in other metrics. People are happy about these vehicles because they are still new and fresh. We've had a 2024 Tundra for over a year now, and while its a great vehicle to drive, after the newness factor has worn off all i have now are worries about getting the dreaded spun main bearing. The plastics are flimsy, worse quality than what was on my 3rd gen tacoma, and the paint quality is surprisingly even worse. This is the 3rd model year of this vehicle. Already had to take it in for warranty because of a leaking radiator as well a few months ago. I get Toyota is having growing pains as theyre rolling out alot of redesigns in a short window, but they are making alot of questionable design decisions for the sake of competing in new segments. This all starts to fall apart when they are now so close in price to the domestic OEMS and in some cases more expensive depending on the vehicle/trim package. Speaking as some who bought one of the new toyotas and my observations after living with it for some time

You can see what Toyota did with the new 4Runner pricing. After the strong pushback on the Tacoma pricing, It looks like Toyota stripped the SR5 price down to the bare bones to get to $40K. However, the packaging guys made the options so slim, one is forced to go to up the trim level ladder to get beyond a basic configuration. Bottomline, a 4WD 4Runner with bare bones media package will cost a customer approximately $46K to start and a nicely equipped model will average $58K-$62K. One would think with the tight alignment/parts sharing with the other trucks/SUVs, Toyota could offer better pricing and a better value proposition.

The price jump on the 4runner trim levels on the new 6th gen is nuts. 41k to 47k the next trim? So if you're a good negotiator u can get a base 4runner and base camry for essentially the same price (or a little more) as the trailhunter or trd pro. THAT'S INSANE.

Why are they even offering a rear wheel at this point. Perhaps they can save cost and streamline production by only offering AWD and pass that on to the custer 😅😂
@lukesmith9815 күн бұрын
I agree with you. It makes no sense on buying a rear wheel drive for any off-road platform. Rear wheel drive should only be on sedans and coupes.

I bought my new 2023 Limited because the new 4Runner did not impress me. Marketing led design makes me question the platform.

New 4 runner is miles better than the old one in every single level from power performance torque comfort tech and more. Its a design led by what the full Majority of people and buyers want. Overall its a excellent platform.
