AWD overheating, lol. The exhaust is routed right next to the temperature sensor for the rear differential/clutch pack, so.. it might not be the actual diff overheating. Some people have wrapped the exhaust and it no longer happens, so..
@brandonvo97272 ай бұрын
@@hhasteSavageGeese did a great video that covered this topic. Turns out that the exhaust being too close wasn’t the problem as the temperature sensor in the diff wasn’t actually causing it. They did a whole bunch of other stuff but basically it’s a software issue that is yet to be fixed.

I used to think it was sacrilege to put an automatic into a Miata, BRZ, or one of these. Then I realized that these cars are already low volume sellers, and by offering an automatic, perhaps they can increase the numbers of units sold, which would encourage them to keep making BOTH MT and Auto. Certainly better than having these "affordable" cars (vs Supra, etc) go extinct. For me, perhaps a future option for replacing my MT BRZ. My wife doesn't drive MT, so that limits taking the BRZ on along road trip, unless I want to always do all the driving. Maybe this GR Corolla with auto would still be engaging enough. In today's world of sharing the road with bigger and heavier cars, maybe having the extra heft of a Corolla would be a plus too.
