*85 mph. Per them that's the max speed you can go if you live in US in any highway, so if data shows that this has gone beyond that, you will have hassle.

In german motorway 🛣️ none speed limit. GR Yaris 1.6L turbo can do multiple runs without the car going flame 🔥. But for GR Corolla 1.6L Turbo issues with internal that failed & that's why it totaled 🔥. There's no warranty coverage, news on multiple websites says Toyota USA ignoring the complaints & blamed the owner. - What about the Toyota USA GR Corolla 1.6L Turbo 3cylinder that bust into 🔥 ? Are those issues still ongoing without any warranty? or recall? (*Yes*) Or is it just US Toyota Quality issues to be blamed? And also 2025 US GR Corolla didn't update the dashboard layout worst with that infotainment rob visibility. Just look at the 2020 Toyota GR 1.6L Turbo 3cylinder didn't have any news that the car goes to flame 🔥. 2025 GR Yaris Improvement facelift & interior massive update from previous model. Big change "the dash layout is you don't have the old infotainment sitting proud on the dash" it's actually 5cm lower & that means you get better visibility.

This is like what Hyundai did to the Elantra N for the mid cycle; better cooling, different suspension tuning, and not a whole lot else. I bought a first production year EN, starting to get tempted by the refresh. Would like to see how the GRC refresh handles extended track sessions from a cooling standpoint, especially the transfer case. One thing I prefer about the EN over GRC and CTR is how it handles heat.

For the price increase, they should have kept the lighter forged wheels on the manual version at least. Also the color options on this car is very limited again....i hope they fixed the tire pressure monitor as well.

That is that is true but even with the cheapest model you get more and that's probably why you also increased in price because a lot of people even when they got the core one of the things that they did mainly was get the LSDs which was I think maybe like an extra two or three grand on top so that just came as standard and then you also getting other amenities that some of the other models that you had to option and you getting them as standard rather than as another option which is a benefit and kind of a drawback but it's not like a crazy price increase like some others

⁠i feel like 90 was the limit in parts of Nevada but that’s beyond the point. The point is that its a track car and you would absolutely top 90 on the track doing any kind of racing, and since you are buying a track car, voiding the warranty door using the car as intended is really wrong

Manual transmission is gone in the Golf R for 2025. But yeah, the automatic competes in the same space. That said, the Golf R is more FWD bias than the GR Corolla even with the newer Magna AWD system.

I like this over Golf R for three reasons. Unlike Golf R, the GR has physical buttons. GR will be more reliable than Golf R. There are many more Toyota dealerships than VW, especially if you live far from major metropolitan areas.

@@Karmazov yeah those are pretty good reasons. I think the interior of the golf r is a nicer place to be than the grc which makes up for the lack of buttons for me. I do live in a heavy populated metropolitan area so that point doesn’t apply to me. But the reliability is a big one. Unfortunately I just don’t know if I trust the new platform as much as other Toyota makes as I’ve seen quite a few issues popping up from grc owners. Although I don’t trust Volkswagen as much as a brand I’d probably trust their golf models the most out of anything they make.

Nice package, you didnt mention price. Kind of ironic (an sad) that a Corolla now has a much superior AWD system than the WRX or "Wilderness" Subaru SUVs. Come on Subaru, put a limited slip or locker on at least the Wilderness models of the Crosstrek and Outback (Heaven knows you have jacked up the price enough in the last few years to cover it). I have to say though, even it being a Toyota, I would be hesitant to buy a 3 banger that is pumped to 300hp.

Having driven the new WRX a couple of times (manual) and finding it horribly lame in terms of too light steering, understeer in the corners, and being somewhat gutless, I am shocked that you may prefer it over the GR Corolla, which I haven't driven.

New TS has adjustable steering feel. Understeer is that 50:50 split.

No way reducing the rear swaybar makes it handle better - just more understeer. Needs more rear bar if anything. I have one and love it, but sorry, a 50k Civic and Corolla is not "affordable". Better to spend that on a used Cayman if you want a real sports car.

I have noticed something with all these youtubers they never once mention the price tag of one of these "CHEAP economy cars" I guess to them 80k is cheap but to me that is 60 k too much for a car with a 3cyl and small body....seriously this car is 80k BEFORE it hits the dealership up here in Canada....WHO THE HELL with a solid brain on there shoulders would spend that kinda money on a micro 3cyl car!?!?!?!?!?

Those launches are all using launch control, which has a pre-programmed setting. You only get five seconds to launch.
