I whole heartedly agree. Finally a review that was honest yet not a fan boy take. Plus I’m tired of hearing the complaints of the new 4 cylinder and the reluctance to change. Kurt, Ryan, and Rachelle have probably forgotten more about Toyotas than most people ever know... Rachelle has taken the new Tacoma Trailhunter through some serious dunes and has the background of an accomplished off road racer. The comments about the difference between the Fox and Old Man Emu suspension are probably beyond many influencers. XO has experience with the i-Force Max hybrid in a Sequoia over probably 6,000 km off road in Africa, mostly towing a fuel trailer! Anyone that doesn't trust Toyota's hybrid reliability in these trucks isn't paying attention!

I feel like it could turn off a segment of buyers that want the cool top trims but want to have a full time 4 wheel drive for on the road wet and snowy conditions. Also, why no front locking diff? I'd think to fully complete with bronco and wranglers they'd finally do a true front locker. Overall huge improvements but at least as of now I feel like to get the perfect 4runner I would want to piece them together. I am not a fan of the 4.0--poor economy and performance. By comparison a supercharged 3.4 from the 3rd gen 4Runner made more power and torque and still get 19-20 MPG.
