Man this bike is gonna be in my hands this spring of 2025! It’s like the perfect commuter.

I think it might be a U.S. specific model.

@@cyclenews cool, coz I've never seen one like this, not even in any video 🤷🏻

Seems like this and the MT07 have bad suspension until you you throw some adjustable suspension at them

As others have said, it’s no Daytona 675 (or 765). It’s clearly built to a price point. But I think it has to be credited for a likely much more interesting engine than the ubiquitous parallel twins that it runs against. It clearly needs some stuff but I think it could make a pretty fun bike with a few tweaks.

All the reviews I've seen on this bike say the suspension is too soft, but how about for someone who wants to use this bike in the city, or just on some tame twisty roads? Like if you're not going over 80kph on the twisties over 140kph on the highway it should be adequate? I don't want a race bike but I want a nice sounding bike with enough torque to accelerate faster than a fkn corolla

This would work just fine for you. Depends on your weight. I'm 92kg so probably too heavy for the standard springs but for just cruising around it should be fine.

What’s the top speed of daytona 660?
@cyclenews9 ай бұрын
No idea. We only rode it on tight Spanish mountain roads and didn't get the chance to really wind it out.
@Lalitgrg989 ай бұрын
Thank you for sharing, Do you think Daytona 660 is more powerful than the R7?
@cyclenews9 ай бұрын
@@Lalitgrg98 It definitely has more top-end than the R7. The R7 is probably a match for it below 6000 rpm, though.

Probably go the Suzuki if we're comparing stock bikes. If they're modded, it might be a different outcome.

Had the same question. Would make for a nice comparison video.

Triumph has gone to it's 2005's daytona 650 engine base to make it compatible for current demand same design & engine

can you compare this to the zx4rr that you tested at willow ?
@cyclenews9 ай бұрын
Not really. That 400 was a monster. It had about $10,000 worth of engine mods thrown at it! In stock trim, the Triumph would crush it. But that Graves bike was something else...

what do you think a better track bike is ? zx7r 2001 with front fork kit and penske shock rearsets and diablo tires or set up zx4rr@@cyclenews
@cyclenews9 ай бұрын
@@MrBolioclyde Those are two pretty different bikes! I love me a ZX-7R, one of the best looking bikes ever made. The 4RR would for sure be easier to ride, though.

So many words to say it sucks.

It doesn't suck, just needs some bits to make it really good.
@GiacintoMarcellino9 ай бұрын
@@cyclenews I disagree. I own a 675 and this is a disgrace. It's about time journalists start bashing those pathetic bikes as they should. There's nothing exciting about those bikes, there's nothing ground breaking, suspensions are better on my mountain bike and so on. It's an ok bike to go grocery shopping and that's an insult to the Daytona name and legacy. My 2 cents of course just my opinion. Bring back truthful pain.
