@gkerzie82072 жыл бұрын
Bought mine as a first bike as well. Took me less than 2 weeks to reach that first service interval cause I couldn’t stay off of it. For others considering this as a first bike, a respect for the power is absolutely necessary. It’s not scary powerful by any means but it can get away from you if you aren’t careful. With that being said, it is a confidence inspiring motorcycle and certainly appropriate for the right type of beginner. I will second the wind comment, Texas winds have blown me around plenty and it’s an unsettling feeling every time. Ride safe

Im @ about 3 months daily riding on my Trident, and I LOVE LOVE LOVE this bike! Mine didnt cost more than the MSRP though, was about 10k for me after fees/taxes. BTW, in order to achieve a consistent 50mpg, rain mode must be on from my experience. I got the up/down quickshifter after my first month and feel like every Trident should come with it stock. I just wish she had a "sport" mode as well as an extra gallon of tank capacity. The Puig windscreen helps stabilize the bike at higher speeds as well. If you do your own oil changes, you can use a bluetooth ELM327 OBD/CANBUS adapter & smartphone to shut off the wrench light, and Mobil-1 4T oil makes the motor MUCH quieter than the castrol.

@halohalohikers3571 Жыл бұрын
The salesman on the floor was friendly enough. It’s always sort of stressful making a purchase like this and talking to the numbers guy in the back. I feel like Triumphs are more rare than a yahmaha and the dealer knows it. That being said there wasn’t any wiggle room for negotiation on the price. They sold it MSRP and added an import fee or something I forget the exact terminology. But from all my research there was only 4 of these bikes being sold in California so I could really be bitter.

I rode it every day during the summer, sometimes in 100+ degrees and did have any huge concerns. It runs hot as far as the temp gauge especially during the summer. Only once I have had a warning light and the engine decreased power because of overheating. And if I remember correctly it was during the break in period. What issues are you experiencing?

Fantastic video. I've watched a couple others and they too were great. I love the aesthetics of your bike. Your mods really improved the look of an already great looking bike. I have a deposit on a 2023 Orange Trident. Hopefully it will be here sooner than later as we are running out of riding weather in the near future. Also have EvoTech parts (thanks for your video on them) on order. Frame sliders, axle sliders, radiator guard and bobbins. May get the shorty levers later. I am going to need a paddock stand. Question....which paddock stand do you use? Do you recommend that one? This is my second bike and for the 3000 miles I rode my first bike (Honda Rebel 500) I pushed it around the driveway trying to clean and lube the chain. PITA!! Not doing that again. I test rode 4 bikes this summer and loved all so it was a tough decision. I'm 5'7" w/ short legs and this seat height made me a bit nervous before the test ride and I almost skipped over this bike as I am on the balls of my feet. Test rode it in ROAD mode and found it surprisingly easier than I anticipated but I may ride mine in RAIN mode for at least the first ride to see if I still feel that way. I loved the handling, throttle, clutch, motor, transmission and that sound even with the stock exhaust. Because of all that I can see that this bike could easily encourage me to ride beyond my skill level so I'll have to consider that before every ride.
