@ if you look at iihf videos they are almost always around 3 minutes long - no matter how many goals scored. With so many of them they usually don’t show all the goals and they cut right into the goal situation - here they even show how the attack actually started etc

The first time I had the opportunity to be in Kaz; being Canadian, I was pleased to meet someone in the hockey program here. I asked how the country did internationally, and was told they don’t win because they compete as individuals. Watching the highlights here, that’s exactly what was wrong. They collapsed in front, no one took a man, they just added to the goalie’s troubles by blocking his sight. Or being something to bounce pucks off. The point at which you stop a play is not five feet into the house. Feeling bad for the team won’t change anything. They have the basics, yes, what they lack is a concept of team. They don’t work together as a unit. If there is anything that frustrates me living here it’s that everyone, I meet seems to think they know everything worth knowing. Everyone is a master in their own mind? That’s why you guy play hockey the way you do. In life you win together. Being a master at a thing means you can step out beyond the normal confides where creativity happens. Where the structure has become so natural that its no longer constricts movement. Kungfu. Kazakhstan your Kungfu is not strong.

Navíc jsme je v dobách ČSSR jako kluci zažívali na plácku nebo na zamrzlém rybníku prakticky dnes a denně v reálu. Ne jako vy, doma v pokojíčku na play stationu 😂 Jsem rád, že jsem tu dobu zažil. Kazakhstan actually has a terrible hockey team compared to Latvia, but you'd rather just look at a preliminary game between two unequal squads as similar. When you SHOULD know that these games don't mean shit come the playoffs. Hell, Canada had a dominant game last year and finished fifth 🤷 So recent history also suggests these bloated scores are just fluff.

Because you literally show your ENTIRE offense to teams that can stop you and beat you. If Czechia actually makes a medal game, I'd be shocked. This is a team that beat the Swiss on turnovers and a powerplay but made a lot of mistakes that better teams (like Sweden, the best team in the tournament so far) won't let them make, and saw favorable match ups, which tells me that Slovakia will be a challenge too. Sweden gets the bye. US gets the bye. Canada beats Slovakia, and then your Czechs get to try and beat Latvia. Which I doubt, as their goalie just isn't as good as Feldberg 🤷

@@joseeduardo4327 the other side of exposure is half of the US has played half of Canada. And Czechia. And Latvia. And Germany. And Sweden. And Slovakia. For Kazakhstan, this is literally the first time they've seen these teams play, because they were in a different division last year. They get like 3 games (and not against starting goalies or top guys) to familiarize themselves and then they watch tape. The exposure part there is they see how the top teams play and incorporate that into their strategies. The point that Latvia was considerably worse 10 years ago is just that. They're getting exposure. They had a strong end last year and played their asses off to start this year. And just to be blunt.. if you're not HOPING for greater parity and just want to watch constant blowouts (that game last night was the best game of the tournament and could end up being the best game after the gold medal game too) then maybe stop watching hockey. It's GREAT for the game, and I hope that Kazakhstan takes this tournament and uses this exposure to encourage players to step up and raise their country's game. I'm personally sick of seeing the same 4 teams in the gold medal rounds. When it was like 10 straight years of Canada winning gold, the medal wins were less interesting. It didn't feel like they were beating the world's best. Now that there's greater parity, it only helps grow the sport and make it more worthwhile when a team wins gold. Like how many Leafs fans brag about winning those Cups with just 6 teams versus Colorado and Florida winning a Cup with like 30+ teams in the league?

Damn... Kazach defense completely failed, like they were just letting czech players do whatever they wanted. Most goals go on defense... Even if they were outclass by czechs in skill and condition, they still could play more cohesively and try... They gave up after third goal..

It's not a cheap sport in the Czech Republic either, but it's very popular so there's no problem with the number of kids. I guess wrestling and boxing are the most popular in your country. And I don't want to bring politics into it, but as long as your country is dependent on Russia nothing will change in your country.
