Is there a prospect you'd like to hear about from the 2026 NHL Draft class?

How about Xavier Villeneuve who play's in the Q

A bit unrelated but Landon DuPont is 15 years old, eligible for the 2027 NHL draft, and has 16 points in 14 games… as a defender🤯 Calgary better do horrible that year.😅
@nhldraftprosАй бұрын
Gonna get to see Dupont tomorrow at the U17 Challenge...can't wait!

Ugh I feel like as a sharks fan I’m wishing we get better but 2026 and 2027 have some insane prospects
@nhldraftprosАй бұрын
Yeah the next 2 Drafts are gonna be pretty good with some solid prospects such as McKenna and Dupont!

@ this is my buddies and my favorite draft channel Fs a dream job for me keep it up man the content is always fire
@jfkst1Ай бұрын
I really don't like the 2025 draft outside the top four or five prospects. The rest seem like long shots to be difference makers.
@mattgrassi5293Ай бұрын
@ which is why I’m pumped we’re bad enough to be in the top 5
@jfkst1Ай бұрын
@@mattgrassi5293 Yeah I don't think there's a big difference between number one and number four in 2025. San Jose should be fine regardless. Teams outside the top four five however are probably getting second liners at best and I'll bet there's a ton of busts.

Hooyah! Fantastic content! I have seen him play in MH and I'm going with family Friday the 22nd in Edmonton to watch the Tigers play Oil King's.

Lucky you! I have to make my way out West to catch some games. So much talent out in the Dub!

I'd definitely like to know more about this Maddox Dagenais player.

McKenna is shaping up to be one of the best wingers in a long time. I know his situation is better than Bedard's, but he is dominating at D-1. DuPont in 2027 is about the best dman prospect in the modern era.

Just saw Dupont live at U17 Challenge last night. He's a special player for sure!

Keaton Verhoeff would be great. I could see him as a top 5 player.

Hawks messed up not tsking Demedov.
@justinshields3819Ай бұрын
The Hawks were trying to get Demidov. They were offering their 2025 1st round draft pick (unprotected) to Columbus at 4th overall.

Didn't even mention guys like Ethan Belchetz, Niklas Aaram-Olsen, Elton Hermansson, and Adam Novotný. Yeah this class looks unreal.

Exactly....had a bunch more on list. Will probably make another video in new year getting more deep into the 2026 prospects! Thanks for sharing!

Yes!!! Gonna see him play live tomorrow at the U17 Challenge. He's started this season a little slow as of now, but looking for a strong finish.

How would you rank the depth of the 2023-2026 classes? I know it’s still early for 2026 but it seems like: 1. 2023 2. 2026 3. 2025 4. 2024
@nhldraftprosАй бұрын
I was thinking of this when I was making this video and you have it right on!
@ryandenton1902 күн бұрын
Mckenna is good but tiny... he really needs to put on some muscle. At 6'0" he really should be closer to 200lbs not 165. That's insane really
@nhldraftpros2 күн бұрын
He's young...once he fills in...watch out!
@galkanftwАй бұрын
Yeah I never heard of McKenna until I watched that team Canada and after a game I went to work and told buddy.So he never heard of him either he googles him and he is like whoa he is only 15 and I am like wtf. SO I told him he was noticeably the best player on the ice and knowing he was younger than everyone else was crazy yeah he was better than TijIginla who was highly rated in this last draft. I am not sold on Hagens being better at all an with the age difference Gavin seems destined to be a super star.However there is always the chance players just mature at a younger age case in point Mike Misa who imo has not really developed anymore since last year. I need to actually see a game with Stenberg to know better what his ceiling is highlight reels alone don't do it for me.The way a player thinks the game is msot important to me because it is easy to dominate the many weaker junior players but not so easy to dominate anyone in the NHL.

I mean it’s still a long way to the draft and North Americans always mention mostly North Americans and barely any European players, whatever the reason for that is
@NorthernWarriorHockey29 күн бұрын
How difficult is it for scouts to compare European players to North American players. The differences of the ice size, and spacing makes it more difficult for me to project European players.
@nhldraftpros29 күн бұрын
Agreed, but most of the high end Euro players end up in men's leagues so that is a good litmus test. In terms of Euro junior leagues, that's a little more difficult to gauge. International play against peers can help determine their status against NA players of the same age to a degree.
