I've been hoping you'd go back there with a raft or something! SWEET! The least that Sharon deserves for following you into these places is a nice flash light. Hip waders might be a good thing to add to your arsenal of equipment to explore flooded mines. I wonder what an underwater drone would find under that water. This is really different from the last episode when you were in all that dust from the collapsing debris in that other mine. It pays to be little, Sharon could sneak into skinny places. Really pretty in there, the water is so clear! I like that Sharon had some microphone time at the end there. Nice. Thanks for another great adventure.

Excellent drone footage. This video is so cool, seeing it from this prospective. Don't tip over. Might have to check this out in the future, too see if the water drops lower, to a retake on this mine. That is getting rough on the kayak, hauling them over rocks. Sharon, you're one helleva climber.

A couple of ideas - first, think about using hand paddles (like a large ping pong paddle with a strap that goes around your hand) instead of a standard one - much easier to use in a confined space - 2nd would be purchasing used drysuits (used because mine exploration is rough on gear and you don't want to destroy brand new expensive ones) on ebay for use in cold wet mines. Great content Frank!

I might try going in there with my dry suit. I never had the air pump for it, but it's still way warmer than a wet suit. I used to white water raft with it, without a raft. I would just blow it up a bit with my breath and float down the driver. I used the dry suit a lot for dredging, I could get in the cold water earlier in the season than the other guys, and stay in later in the season. It's so buoyant I would have to wear 50 pounds of lead around my chest to help keep me down when dredging.

Love your exploring these mines. I was rather concerned of water level rising hopefully you checked for recent rainstorms even several days ago that could potentially cause unexpected level changes. A little added flotation might be wise your carrying extra weight with all that climbing gear and the depth of water likely to be a serious hazard to life. Maybe concider some type of paddle bourd so laying down flat is an option and using a single short padle may be easier than your double ended canoe paddles.
