20a. The Beatitudes: Healing the Emotional Programs, Part 1, with Thomas Keating

The Christian model for transformation is discussed in terms of the first four Beatitudes. Fr. Thomas Keating relates these Beatitudes to the Uroboric, Typhonic and Mythic Membership levels of consciousness drawn from the evolutionary model of human growth. The attitudes and practices inherent in the Beatitudes bring human beings to deeper levels of freedom from childish emotional programs.
This is one video in a series of 31 hour-long talks by Thomas Keating that make up his foundational video teachings, “The Spiritual Journey with Fr. I use to run as far away as I could from any sort of christianity because of its dogmas, hard as a rock, belive everything that is written in a book and dont trust your own experience attitude.. Now with father. Thomas and Br. Steindl Rast Christianity is the religion I resonate the most with when presented in this way, including both the human and the spiritual dimensions of development ❤️🙏
