Finally an actual CHEAP tiny house. I was getting tired of those $80k tiny houses.
@Jamac0075 жыл бұрын
An 80k house is still cheap compared to a full sized home, but yes I agree this home is within most people reach, most of it comes to either using new or recycled materials and professional or D.I.Y labor.
@DavGreg5 жыл бұрын
Not everyone wants to build their own home or has the ability to do so and labor is a signficant part of the cost of a home. Also, note he did not have a toilet, no HVAC and a very minimal, almost ascetic , inside to his home. I am sure that is a big part of the low build cost. As to the more expensive builds, they feature very different construction and system equipment along the lines of a conventional home.
@SomeDudeQC5 жыл бұрын
He already has access to free land as well.
@anonymousanomaly95385 жыл бұрын
I find so may of the more expensive homes to be absolutely sterile and, to me, extremely depressing. They are so clean and streamlined, that all of the character that could have been is completely washed away. I prefer the creativity and ingenuity of the simpler and more personal spaces.
@goodliving21715 жыл бұрын
Air condition units in conventional homes have proven to be not as efficient as the type that hotels use for each room or the kind like Mitsubishi and other brands that you hang on the wall for each room for heating and cooling. Whether you buy a house or have someone build it for you, the way you want it may cost close to the same, depending on the deal you get, but you make the decisions of the layout and materials, but of course, you have to wait for it to be built. Shipping containers are a faster build since you already have the shell, especially if you are going to stack them, they are stacked minutes after delivery! If you insulate the outside and use whatever type material for the siding, you keep all the space inside, that would have been insulated walls. Cargo containers are wonderful!

It's nice Bryce this time you had the one of my most important questions discussed: insulation. I hope in the next coming episodes you will somehow in your ways be able to include other more important details like: plumbing, exterior surface mountings, solar power works and everything else. Thank you very much.

Overcome. That is definitely the running theme of Lance’s journey. It is nerve wrecking for many of us to face tragedy , and a transition full of uncertainty. Thanks Brice for featuring this build and the narrative that went along with it from its builder. This is truly an inspiration to those especially going through their current overcome in life.

I love the way Bryce presents his shows. This one was just beautifully done. Lance has done an amazing job with his container home and I have thoroughly enjoyed watching this. Totally agree with a few others about the fact it is great to find one that was way under the $80K mark. Great to see and very inspirational

The great thing about this content is the accompanying life lessons. Yes, design and architecture are the intent, but the reach extends beyond that, and the appeal to one's humanness is the real gem. The project is as beautiful as his story.

Cool how he elevates his bed - great how he has realised physical life is temporary and re-evaluate how he wants to spend his time and do what he loves.

Thank you Lance for sharing your DIY container home with us; and your life experience. May God draw very near to you with His great heart of love to comfort and bless with peace and healing. He hurts with you. Lance, you have created a very nice, simple, beautiful and elegant home. In fact, if you hadn’t said it was a DIY project I would have thought it was a professional build; very well done. The interior is well designed and functional, clean lines and full of light. My impression is one of comfort, beauty, peace, quiet; ah, home. Very nice location, too. Thank you Bryce and Rasa for another thoughtful and kind Tiny House tour. You have a way of helping people feel at ease sharing their home. Safe travels and blessings to you both. Thank you.

Lance is by far the most beautiful and genuine person from all the shows I've watched on this channel. He is build of steel to turn such saddened events such a loosing his dear mum and best friend. However, it is the realisation that he focused on something so positive for him and build a lifestyle that freed him from being bound to others expectations. His Tine House is absolutely beautiful and very well thought through out. God Bless him and I have leant a great deal from him and his spirit of positivity and tranquility within himself.
