Yes, please, keep making videos like this, because not every Linux user has spent a lot of time with the GUI and has found all of these. Honestly, thank you for sharing all of these. SUPERB !!!

This is really an incredible video about many useful Extensions. I'm new to Linux and trying to learn how to tweak my UI some. Please, keep showing stuff like this. Also, I saw an article recently that listed multiple CLI apps that you can use in place of the most common LInux apps. You create aliases for some of these commands. Like a fancier directory lister. Etc. Here is the article, "I Replaced Default Linux Commands With These Powerful Alternatives". I really learned quite a lot from it. Maybe, you could find some of those commands and make videos about it.

Though gnome is great DE, it doesn't work for me, but recently they've done something good. I love KDE plasma. You guys create really good FOSS content ❤❤❤

Thank you so much! I'm saving this for future reference. Gnome stock is kinda sparse and outright missing critical stuff (notification icons, for instance), and this guide is a great reference and something I can send people newer to Linux. :)

That's a good thought. More new people need to know about the existence of GNOME extrensions.

ddterm (drop down) terminal gnome extension is great too, just press F12 and you get instant terminal. 1 Question is there a way to set an unique background image for different workspaces? I am using Gnome 47 btw... thanks for the video...
@itsfoss2 ай бұрын
thanks for the suggestion. There is Hydrapaper for setting up different background for different monitors. Not sure about workspaces though.

@@itsfoss Ya, I saw that too, but never install it since it doesn't say anything about workspaces. If you figure it out, let us know thanks.

My favorite Gnome extension is Cover Flow - which gives a nive graphicsl look for when one ALT-Tabs through your open applications. Any if the various extensions that put the temperature and a weather icon hu the clock are also very useful.

Thank you for another great video. Can you do a video on mounting discs, lots of people got problems with that and Ubuntu sometimes unmount discs after reboot.

Glad you liked the video. About your suggestion, Mounting discs as in have a multi disk system with addition disks being auto mounted?
@RDJ1343 ай бұрын
@@itsfoss Sorry for the verry late reply. But yes i have a second HDD in my system and avery reboot i need to click on the second drive to mount it. Using Ubuntu 22.04 It;s would be nice if it got reconised every boot :)

@@RDJ134 You can automount the device by adding its UUID in fstab entry. I'll make a tutorial on it.
