I can see why they changed the opening animation. If the Traveler's sibling had been 'chained and impaled' not only would that up the game's rating but the player would assume that the twin was dead and our whole quest would be one of revenge. Not exactly the vibe that Genshin gives.

The game literally tells you stories of experimentation and murders of childrens, canibalism jokes, some flowers that are the souls of dead children, flowers that grow where there's been blood spilled, suicides, etc.

I'm so happy they changed so much since CBT. I really didn't like the beta map and how the settings menu looked like. I love how they put the soul and colours into the whole game to make it more lively and aesthetic. I'm very proud of the developers

Well, as a person in the game dev field I'm here to give some clarity. When we issue CBTs, they are usually minimalistic in UI as we focus more on getting feedback on the functionality of the game. After the CBT period concludes we start polishing the game. This was no different with genshin, it was only natural that they would change the UI, but yes, the game has come a long way.

It's more of a voice direction difference between languages than an actual change. Similar to how voice direction has caused Paimon's English voice to become squeakier over time while other dubs are relatively the same.
