I am Mexican and I like foreigners in our country as long as the foreigners don't want to come and change our costumes. Like in San Miguel de Allende the gringos there had tried to change hundreds of years old like the ringing bells in the curch, etc etc. Please do not bring your first world entitlement. Do not come thinking and acting as if you are better than us. If you come with a nice attitude we will take you in as our own. P.S. acknowledge people when you walk of the streets. Say Good morning, good afternoon, good evening and be friendly.
@TheYarbros3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for speaking your truth! I agree w/ alot of it. But it almost sounds like some ppl from the states when they say to foreigners to assimilate or don't come. I say protect traditions and customs but if they don't wanna speak or if they feel superior to someone.... afford them their ignorance. Mexico is like a pretty girl...she attracts all kinds, can't be mad at that.

About making Mexican friends: I don't remember any vlogs where you have done things with "Mexican friends" like eating out with them, visiting their homes and families, taking a trip with them. I do remember vlogs with people from a country other than Mexico, but as far as Mexican friends, I don't remember any. I'm sure you have "acquaintances" but real friends...??? What say you?

Thanks for answering some questions that we have been wondering! The coin shortage is very strange to us too! Things are still expensive and seems like it's getting more each day! I would like to see a video of what Monterrey has to offer to expats or digital nomads...looking forward to seeing it and safe travels!
@fergomez38173 жыл бұрын
Good job on the video 👏 although when speaking about a holes in the US versus Mexico the issue was oversimplified but that’s OK since it’s a short video. So I would say that the comparison between these two neighboring countries is like day and night since one (US) is an individualistic culture and the other is a collectivistic culture, the latter tends to have less ‘difficult’ citizens ✌️
@TheYarbros3 жыл бұрын
lolz, I hear you but I dont think any bran a butt hole is different than....cant believe I'm writing this literally laughing while I type. It could be argued that shoot outs w/ the police, assassinations and petty theft are all a-hole characteristics and come from "difficult" citizens. I over simplified intentially...in the world of my thoughts a a-hole is just that no matter what side of the border they are on. None are better or worse than the other.

I think the coin shortage was caused by the lack of in person commerce. Most of us have been using cards to pay for things and doing so online in many instances. I try to avoid paying cash because I assume store staff would rather not touch the cash! I did finally take my random jar of coins to the bank. #DoingMyBit
