Journey was my first concert ever! I saw the Frontiers tour in Pocatello, Idaho back in 1984? I was 16. They sounded wonderful! The opening band was Brian Adams. Brian’s big breakout song was Summer of ‘69. I’m 54…and Journey takes me back to being 16 as if I was in a time machine!

I love your reactions to my absolute favorite band of all time. I’ve been a diehard fan for 40 years. Imagine it’s 1983...you’re 15 years old. Journey’s playing 3 back-to-back sold out shows in your hometown. And you manage to get a ticket to hear Steve Perry and the band sing this beautiful song live. That 15 year old was me. I’m 53 now...and I love Journey just as much as I did then. Maybe more...appreciation for the steadfastness and how timeless their music has become. I cry everytime I hear this song. The part where he says memories still remain make me think of where I will be 2 yrs from now and remembering the memories of 2024 and 2025 that haven't even gotten here yet. So my point is to just continue making good memories as each day goes by. Because in the end that all we keep is our memories. Good ones and bad ones. But you can always come back to this song and remember those days. If that makes any sense.
