Just swapped the baffles without removing the heat shields, with no apparant difficulty. Simply removed the short pipe tips, did the swap (plastic wrap left on), and replaced the tips. Sprayed on Slick Mist polish, wiped off, done. Was done on my 2000 Heritage with Big Shots.

I wish it was that easy. My 2013 deluxe had the bottom pipe, baffle screw rusted and I hate my life because I stripped the head. But I have one quiet baffle in the top pipe and damn it’s nice. The back pressure really gave it the extra power it needed....

Will the installation of these super q quiet baffles require any rejetting or adjustment upstream? They will seemingly restrict airflow, correct?

Naw,the core of the thing is still high flow. The catalitic converter is the most restrictive part of the exhaust. Baffles are for sound. still, in UK they add a washer to a baffle to restrict power of a bike. I personally prefer the baffled sound.

We don't have a super quiet baffle video, but that's definitely something I should knock out in the future. They're an additional 2-3 dB quieter compared to the quiet baffles.

Thank you. I have Eliminator 300 slipons on Harley M8 with quiet insert, are Big Shots Staggered with quiet insert louder? Also can you fit super quiet baffle to Big Shots Staggered?

They'll be pretty close to the same dB level, the big change would be the aesthetic difference.

It's about a 2-3dB decrease, but really changes the overall sound characteristic of the pipe, making it deeper and warmer.

@@vanceandhines As to the deeper warmer sound characteristic you described, what would you say about tonal quality of the Super Q? Also, effects of both on performance? Finally, other then idling, what would you say about the change in decibel levels between the Quiet and Super Q? Thanks!

It's more substantial in person, but only quiets the bike down about 2-3dB. The big change is in the tonal quality of the bike as it's much deeper and richer sounding, and better for long-distance cruising.
