I've been a fan for over 8 years now and never caught on to this fact until my mum pointed it out while we were going through some older episodes together, a fact that's seemed to have been overlooked by the writers every time they bring up Dana again: *Dana is the original, not her double.* We know this because back in season 2, the old oak doors would only close when everyone was in their proper places back where they came from, and that includes rightfully placing the original Dana back in Night Vale. If she were her double, the old oak doors would have shut her out of Night Vale at the end of season 2 like with Carlos. You're the real Dana, and this is the proof! You can stop questioning your existence now! (Who knows, maybe Dr. Lubelle seeking Dana means she's going to explain this old oak doors evidence to her - then her explanatory tendencies could bring some citizens some peace of mind for once)
