And this one never ceases to amaze me - when, on the off chance we do actually get the ball in midfield and start to dribble it forward why does Antonio dash out to the left wing and hug the touchline? Why doesn't he make a run thru the CB's or down the channels around the CB's to get a through ball? It's like he runs away and hides up. Why?

To be honest, I don’t see much difference between the Soucek-Rodriguez partnership and the Soucek-JWP one, except that JWP at least offers a threat from set pieces

It's quite literally the same thing as having the top-notch best A Plus paper, footnotes, citations, cover page, proofread, syntax appropriate, grammar perfect, bibliography intact paper for a class in quality football...and not handing it in because you don't want to give shine to the thesis. Lop makes no sense, we can change this, but Sully is talking like this is a whole yr coming up. I am already spent from it, Soucek having no reason being out there, Antonio with no legs, midfield that's supposed to be the thread that holds it all together has nothing. Moyes was identical to this. Moyes absolutely refused to change and played Soucek & Antonio every single game. This mug is 100% the same. So, as you say Jay is it ineptitude or plain stubbornness? Either way, after 10 games of the same shite he should now be told - change it & try another way or your'e sacked. If you're at work and you keep making the same mistakes the boss calls you in and says exactly that - shape up or you're sacked. End of fkn story.

No. He knows exactly what he is doing but unfortunately the core of players left by Moyes are struggling to adapt. It's the players - trust me. How do other teams manage to control games in the way we're trying to? It can't be all on the manager.

Alvarez not playing is an error there must be a reason ? Kudus not being tried centrally is strange but Come on recruitment is a shambles . .............Ings..........Antonio.......Summerville..Alvarez..Kudus..Bowen ...442 , there is no point playing Antonio on his own because thats a problem as well you need a formation that solves both problems not just one , there really is a case for 442 or 352, ,,,,Jay im a Uefa coach and your probably the most intelligent ive come across on the west ham internet , you actually see the game . Im not sure paqueta is mentally right though . theres misconception that you dont have any players in the middle when you play 442 4411 etc , for a start if your playing 442 when a forward drops in you have 5 in midfield , if your weak in the middle then why take the game to the middle go around it , the reason why people dont play with two strikers isnt that its all about controlling the midfield its because strikers are bloody expensive

@@Rom1986coyi if you play your 4 in midfield narrow then you have the same effect , we played 3 against spurs in the middle 442 has 4 in the middle , formations dont stay as they are written on paper
