I love doing dishes by hand - don't want and have never had a dishwasher. It's always the task that gathers everyone together after a big group meal, lots of conversation, impromptu dances, great laughs. But yes - they do multiply on their own, just like white clothes - I swear, what I put INTO a dryer with a load of whites always comes out 4 times the size and quantity!

AshleeAshers18 fill a spray bottle with VINEGAR and BLUE DAWN DISHWASHING LIQUID. Spray the heck out of your shower/tub and leave for a few hours. Come back with a gentle scrub sponge with baking sod a and scrub, scrub, scrub! I use to work with Kitchen Aid and the biggest tip I got for running my dishwasher was to run your hot water in the sink before starting your dishwasher. This allows the water in the prewash cycle to actually be hot. Which helps lead to cleaner dishes. Also, if you're using pods, just place the pod directly into the bottom of the dishwasher instead of the soap department. This allows the pods casing to start dissolving in the prewash cycle and be ready to go during the washing cycles.

Hack about soaking pots!! After cooking & can't get that food out from the bottom of the pan, instead of soaking it... fill it up with water & salt. Put it on the stove, cover it & bringit to a boil. It'll be soooo much easier than scrubbing! Sometimes you can even skip the salt. Just let it boil!

My #1 tip for easy dish cleaning is this: I spray the dirty dishes with a mix of water and dish soap. It's like a light version of soaking. I leave the spray on for a few minutes (or hours depending on when I get to doing the dishes) and the spray takes care of most of the work for me! A few light swipes and the dishes a clean - such a time saver!

Great tips. I've been implementing washing my own dishes as I cook, it makes a huge difference. We dont own a dishwasher so I also like to remove the scorched burned food from the pans with a scraper, then I wipe them down with paper towels and I soak them overnight in a paste of baking soda and water. The following day, the mess comes out effortlessly.

Recently subscribed and love your tips and tools you help me think outside the box. Love your methods and we both have same mentality as getting out of bed and make it after restroom wash face and brush teeth then tidy bed up. Bring small load of laundry and put on and do any (midnight smackers) dishes dry and put away. Floors and I’ve been making myself purge and carry light through life. No more heavy loads. It actually makes my anxiety truly bad when something gets dirty or not washed. Lol

I love this video! I am realizing one of the most refreshing things in the morning is to wake up to an empty clean sink! My hardest thing to clean is clothes that accumulate in the bedroom. Some clothes like jeans or bras that don’t need washing everyday become mess piles in the bedroom. I always feel like it’s too much work to refold and put into the drawer or rehang so I throw it on the floor so not to mix it with my dirty laundry. I could use some of your organizing and cleaning tips on this!

Love your tips! For those who like to use a sponge, I buy the dollar tree cheap yellow with a rough green top type, cut them into 4 smaller, easier to handle sponges, using a regular scissors, and every so often put them in a small disposable container, or what have you, that I keep under the sink with a bottle of hydrogen peroxide, and pour just enough hydrogen peroxide over it to soak in for 10 minutes or so, to kill anything, bacteria or mildew, that might grow in it. If the container is just the right size, you won't have to use much HP.

I feel your pain. I hate doing dishes as well. When I was 14 (which was many moons ago) I worked at a restaurant as a dishwasher. They didn't have a machine so I had to wash everything by hand. 😳 "those are soaking." Lol

Thanks for this! So much of my poor housekeeping comes from feeling incompetent, like I’m doing it wrong. So all tips appreciated! Here’s a few ideas I’ve found useful: 1-Use citrus peel to clean the disposer. 2-A thick baking soda paste will loosen burnt on food better than anything I’ve ever seen! However, it needs to ‘soak,’ 😉 3-LOVE those gloves!!! I have to wear gloves or soap irritates my hands. Dollar store!

I needed to watch this video because I struggle with (hand) washing dishes especially cos the beau is so adamant about not doing the dishes. I'm definitely going to implement these tips. But as for the next video, perhaps the bathroom cleaning video would be a lifesaver!

This was great! Thank you! 👍 Also, for anyone who doesn't use their dishwasher to save energy, your dishwasher uses way less energy than hand washing. Also way less water. Using your dishwasher is definitely the more green and cost effective way to go. 😊

Hey Brittany. Like you, I have found dish clothes non absorbent as well. This week I discovered flour sack towels on the bottom shelf at Walmart. They cost almost nothing and are SUPER absorbent. They can also be bleached if needed. I think you will love them!

I've been cleaning for 20 years or more. Professional for 10 of those years. I can say with full certainty, microfiber rags are not absorbent. Thank you for the video. I liked the rollout rack for drying dishes.

A helpful video would be amazon/ dollar store/ Walmart (basically affordable and easy to buy) clear acrylic containers for organization...from pastas containers, sugar containers, paper/letter organizers, bins. Anything that’s clear and trendy that’s affordable and realistic to use in a creative & pretty way!! Xoxo - can’t wait to see what you come up with 🤓😊😘
