I found your show interesting. What I like about my A22 mag is. The A22 35 grain game point at 2100 ft per second. At 100 yards on a real coyote big male. The bullet stayed in the coyote. He flipped over backwards and never even wiggled. All the energy stayed in the coyote. I would not shoot a 40 or 50 to slow. Keep up your testing it's fun to watch. Thank you

Most people do not know that one aspect of the development of the 17 Remington was for preservation of the pelt from the animal.

the WSM cartridge is larger than the HMR and the .22 mag. still rim fire. the WSM is only available in the varmint style bullet. i'm gonna try swapping the HMR soft point hollow point 20 grain (GAME POINT) and the HMR 20 grain FMJ bullet to the WSM cartridge . btw, these only come in 20 grain but is ok. sound like a plan guys ? my WSM is shooting so much better than my HMR both Savage with Boyds stocks.

I certainly enjoyed watching this video!... I own and love shooting all my rimfire rifles, but I know their respective limitations and do not expect unrealistic things from them. I also know that shot placement is very important, even with highly frangible bullets. You don't have to sell me on how great the .17 WSM is. I love that cartridge, but I'm not too fond of my Savage B-Mag rifle! It's bolt design leaves a lot to be desired...it has alot of quirks that I just don't know if I'll ever learn to live with! If CZ ever makes a rifle chambered in the .17 WSM, I'd dump that Savage B-Mag in a heartbeat!

Why choose the 17 WSM over the 17 Hornet why not 204 over 17 hornet why not 22-250 over 204 and we go on and on and on. I prefer the a10 Warthog for all my hunting needs.

Same comment.. Why not compare the. 22 wmr Hornady maxi mag. Its a closer weight and polymer tip helps the BCE.. Figures would be a lot closer. I think the 17wsm would still have it but at the distances you'd be reaching out to I think your border line centre fire as a killing rpund.. I like your videos though.

I just use my 223 with the Hornady 55gr V-Max. Gets the job done for me.

can't shoot a 223 at rim fire prices. If ammo was priced the same than the 17 Hornet would be the way to go for varmints. My states does not allow centerfire night hunting. Rim Fire only so the WSM with the cheap ammo, hard hitting gives you near center fire performance at a fraction of the cost plus meets State regulations.

Big difference there George.... Your only showing 22 mag 40 & 50gr...... Best thing to do is not get a brl burner.better off with the 17 or 22 hornet 17hmr & 22mag

what no 22 mag shots to compare wow the only problem wth the super mag is the junky rifle savage built fer it i had one love the round but crappy in accurate rifle i wont have another one till some one builds a affordable better rifle for it

Also consider barrel wear. The 22 magnum will less barrel wear then the 17wsm.
