Gonna be awhile as this is connected to the main questline Shouldn't take you more than 1 to 2 months prob at most if you get into it like weeks at least Cuz there is a lot of content to explore if really get into it Take it witha grain of salt Just play at your own time dw about it

Like the other responder said 1 to 2 months if you just play *really* casual, couple of weeks if you really grind. The "simple" way to play is to just follow the cinematic quests. Should get you up to speed fairly rapidly. And never, ever be afraid to ask for help. You'll be quite likely to run into a vet who'll just haul you off to his/her clan so they can toss Mods (what you use to build the power of your weapon/frame) at you cause we got SO many spares. I do it often if I see a new player.

No money it's all free. and most of the grind is optional. but 1999 takes place VERY late in the story so you will have to play all the previous Quests which are all equally as good.
