4 months ago I was at the lowest point of my life, my anxiety felt so out of control I was stuck in constant fight or flight. I've lost 30 pounds, hid in my house constantly in fear of every body sensation to come. You pulled me out, I'm grateful. I'm feeling better, I'm being consistent. I had solid food for the first time yesterday. I'm celebrating big time, I'm making major changes and reframing. Thank you so much, sending so much love and gratitude ❤

Was in a very similar state Jillian - I lost 30 pounds in about 4 months - I was terrified something was really wrong with me that the doctors were not picking up and I was going to keel over any day. Was a horrible state to be in - had to quit my job, my kids (I'm a single Dad) they deserve better but it was so freaking' tough. It's getting better, but today had a bit of a relapse on the health anxiety again - I really get it in the chest pressure and palpitations - two big ones for me. But I'm going to get through this!! I feel so angry about things that since 1 month, I've got almost ALL the symptoms you mentioned. Thanks for putting words on this symptom

Same. I didn’t have palpitations for 19 years, then covid hit. My neighbors and friends all yell at me, call me a “fckn idiot” to my face, because I don’t want to live in fear like they do, and I don’t wear a msk outside. I’ve been physically threatened, and had multiple strangers tell me they hope I get the vrus and die. My palpitations started up again strong in about August of 2020, and it’s been a daily struggle since. I pray for Jesus to help, I watch Dennis and other channels for advice, and I take magnesium. That brought them down by about 90%. But I still am under tremendous stress. I pray for you all going through this with a sound mind. We’re not the crazy ones, stay strong, be kind.

@@joeltunnah Yeah, I'm in teh same kind of struggle too, I'm not vaxinated and here in France we need to be vaccinated just to go to the museum of a restaurant. I'm in fear for the future, my future childs ans, even catch covid, having issues and be ashamed of my positions..

I finally had to take the jab for my job, and the next day my astigmatism worsened (more blurry), the tinnitus in my left ear came back slightly, and I get numb feelings in hands/feet, slight sense of being off balance, and insomnia a bit. I keep thinking the shot gave me some neurological issue, however my MRI/MRA of brain/optic cavities are ok, nothing odd found, and neurologist says it's GAD. But I am still fearful of it being something else. I will not get the 2nd jab for sure.

Maybe long post will help someone? Since having COVID and the bad reaction to the "\/" , I've become a total basket case. I have ALL of these anxiety symptoms, and more. BUT, I have a LONG history of somataform disorder, and anxiety. I had my first panic attack at age NINE. They had me on Ativan at age 10, (It was 1981, they didn't know better.) That was 42 years ago, and I've been plagued ever since. I did pretty well the 1st year of the pandemic, everyone else got to feel my "normal" everyday health anxiety... I was used to it. 😂 So, I do have pre-existing GAD, OCD, and PAD. But was generally healthy. But, then came the "\/" and within MINUTES, I had Vertigo, metallic tastes, hand tremors and Tinnitus. Within a few days, I had 2 DVTs and within a week I had an inflamed pituitary. Within a month came Peripheral Neuropathy, Thyroiditis, Adrenal problems and Leukopenia. (All real and all tested.) Needless to say, this has all turned my anxiety to UNREAL levels. My health anxiety is UNREAL. Example: Today I've taken my Pulse Ox over 20 times, my BP 8 times, my body temperature... Who knows, 50 times? In sum, as a new subscriber to this channel I've found SO much useful insight... BETTER than even my new psych doc. I'm tired of Remeron, tired of Klonopin, tired of Depakote ... I'm just plain tired. Anyway, THANK YOU AnxietyGuy for this channel. Am I ashamed to post this all publicly ... NOPE. At least I have one thing I'm not afraid of after 18 months of suffering. I'll pray for all of you fellow sufferers. Blessings.

Two things I relayed to most in this video: the muscle twitching and shaking. This happens to me only when I’m in bed and almost fully asleep. I feel vibrations in my whole body. This is definitely subconscious because I’m never thinking of anything because I’m almost asleep. Secondly the palpitations. Last night I woke up at 1:30 am and my heart was racing. I felt it in my spine and felt it pressuring my ears. Although I did kind of freak out, I decided to put my headphones in, listen to a meditation, put a cold cloth on my head and did EFT tapping. This helped me lower the heart rate and go back to sleep. I was proud of myself because I felt like running and leaving my bedroom so although I did respond (instead of ignoring it), it was a physical/action response done out of confidence that I could stay in control. And today I actually realized that it was the yelling of my husband that triggered this fear from the last when he used to do that and it intimidated me. So I will be better able to handle this happening again if it does.

FYI: Since March 2020, I had intense anxiety with experiencing depressed mood along with insomnia on almost daily basis. My doctor put me on antidepressants and anti-anxiety with limited help. So he referred me to see CBT therapist. Over a year, the medications along with therapy did not alleviate the experiences. I am practicing meditation and anxiety awareness, trauma healing, ect... still not help. So my doctor decided to run every lab works. Finally, it turned out that my anxiety and depressed mood caused by imbalance of TSH and another hormone. 3 weeks into the medication treatment, my gosh, my sad mood and anxiety were gone like a storm cloud was gone. So I just wanted to put out there that if you have done this and that but anxiety still on. Talk with your doctor if your body has insufficient on something like mine.

This is one of the best videos you’ve made Dennis. Today has been exceptionally bad for me and it began with a pain in the middle of my chest. This sparked on other symptoms (feeling numbness in my nose, heart flutters, feeling hot and of course wanting the symptoms to go away) and I began watching this at the moment. I know you’ve heard this question a million times, but what if we just don’t know what we are suppressing? And could suppression also stem from feeling an emotion but then stopping it, either through being distracted at the time or just stopping it because we don’t want to fully feel it? I sense that this is what I do.

Every time I try to do something my brain stops thinking and it strains me from doing it. Then if I try I get a sense of warmth in my head and it makes my health anxiety go crazy, is there any way I can fix this blockage in my head? I’ve been staying in my room for the OST month and I avoid my family or talking and I feel horrible, but every time I try to talk to them or leave my room I get super anxious and dizzy. I get scared that I might pass out or if I might die, is there anything I could do to help? I have graduation very soon and I want to be able to do it. My health anxiety spurred from real health issues that were ignored and missed by doctors for years. Finally after persistence, I received a proper diagnosis and got my gallbladder removed before it killed me. That said, I still experience health anxiety and it's symptoms. I'm doing a lot better with your videos each day. I also understand my anxiety existed prior to this and I've been working on getting to the core. My question is how can I differentiate the fine line between my anxiety symptoms and real health problem symptoms as they are similar? I sometimes have trouble not reacting to symptoms because I was told by doctors for years to ignore symptoms that were real. My fear is I'll observe a symptom that I should react to and I may be too late reacting. How can I tell the difference?

I'm not sure which type of anxiety I have. I have a lung disease which causes severe breathlessness and the more breathless I become the more I panic which makes it worse. I'm now so anxious about feeling like this in public that I'm avoiding going out and doing things.

I took 5 sessions of acupuncture for those symptoms and they disappeared right away. Now I just experience anxiety in my head not in my physical body.

Does anyone experience hands feel sticky as if you have touched or held something sticky. Also jelly legs. I walk like a drunk. It scary. Both of my arms also feel weird like you have slept on them a numb heavy feeling.
@timmcgrath30943 жыл бұрын
Yes, I have that to a certain degree, also numb hands/feet, but if I poke/tickle them I can feel it just fine. I also get slightly shaky fingers if I hold my arms out, but at rest it's fine. I keep fearing it's something else as I developed all this only after my first jab :(

Its odd what we go through to suffer and get through days when life is empty and sad. At age 54 I think about turning things off every day. I get older and weaker. Bad stuff.

I noticed shortness of breathe wasn’t in this ? And I’ve noticed a lot of people have this issue along with acid reflex . I believe it’s maybe a dysfunctional breathing pattern . Did you have that issue ? And if so , do you have any advice on how to get my automatic breathing pattern back 😬

For me I think the anger is from the dislike if how I am feeling anxious or the symptoms. Probably from wanting them to go away. Not accepting?
@TheAnxietyGuy1 Жыл бұрын
Very well could be, it’s amazing how we can perpetuate the anxiety symptoms by fighting them off, acceptance and befriending them is key.
