The GR5 is an approximately 700-kilometre long hiking trail including 40 000 meters of ascent and traversing the heart of the French Alps from Lac Léman (aka Lake Geneva) in the north of France to the Mediterranean Sea in the south. It is one of the world’s most spectacular hiking trails. I will solo hike this trail over several weeks.

Another fantastic stretch of trail! I'm sure that after that steep incline that you had to navigate for the 20+ kilometers today, you have taken care of the cardio portion of your exercises for at least a month. Very well done Christina! And the combination of beautiful landscapes and very interesting structures that you passed on this trail made the trip very worthwhile. A special thanks for you taking the time and effort to pop inside a few of the buildings to show us what's inside of them. Enjoy yourself and I will see you on the next one.

OMG! Did see you have trash one of your trekking poles? Were you able to get another? Did it affect your hiking or setting up your tent? You always choose the most wonderful things to show us whether it’s scenery or a building. The slanted house thing was kinda crazy! 🤪 thanks again for sharing all this with us. So what's the story with the trekking pole? Did I spy a wooden one outside of your tent? The stations of the cross were interesting. Gave me flashbacks of Sunday school from a long time ago. ... and of course the views were amazing too.
