A stunning brace of springers, straight off the tide for local angler Murray.
Our gauge on the upper beat stood at minus four inches, which equates to plus four inches on the SEPA gauge at Ness Side.
Water temperature was 12 degrees and the air temperature was 13 degrees.
There is no information on the fly used to catch these salmon in the video footage. I can tell you that it was a sparsely dressed mini sunray, tied by the angler himself, on a one inch aluminium tube with a short wing and fished off a 5 foot slow sinking tip.
After a proper scrap, Murray brought the 12lber to the net and immediately hooked a 10lber with his very next cast.
As you can see in the video, Murray was able to bring the 10lber to the net, whilst the 12lber was still recovering.
Happy days 😊
