RIP Jack. Poor bastard didn’t deserve to go that way. The big tender engine, on the other hand, deserved what he got for being a selfish…*ahem* Cunt. As for why Jack appeared before James…well, I guess to troll him. I can see Jack’s attack on the BTE being one of revenge, and after the cucumber passed away and got scrapped, he basically had nothing to do and decided to become a wandering spirit. as for why Percy didn’t die, well…perhaps Jack can manipulate the cold in both ways, lowering and raising it? Or was it the fact Percy willingly gave up his coal to help others as an act of selflessness being what spared him? and this was the one that was Scary Jack Frost not the next one, though we’ll see if it’s a sequel

You took a pretty simple and innocent season 6 story and made a lot more spooky. For one, we see an engine version of Jack Frost who's frozen expression kind of reminds me of Jack from 'The Shining'. I'm guessing Jack's basis looks like Thirteen the Unlucky Engine from that magazine story. Hope my performance as Thomas was ok. Really enjoyed this. 👍

@@22Tesla thank you very much for still keeping my idea about making the ERTL vans in V2 long version of the same size and length of the ertl silly trucks which I have given to you. There is just one thing I need to be a bit more specific about them to you thought what I meant they could be in the same size and length as the ertl silly trucks I meant like they could have the size roofs and chassis and size of buffers just like the ertl silly trucks do. Except on the roofs of the ertl silly trucks they have got 3 tiny rectangle shapes on top of there roofs which are suppose air vents or something 🇬🇧

Fun Fact: I had the Thomas' Winter Wonderland DVD when I was younger, and this episode always scared me as a kid. Just all those un-nervingly pointy icicles on Percy, and the way he seemingly glowed... The way you made Jack look definitely would've kept 4-5 year old me up at night.

I like the eerie mystery of this because we know how the actual story in the series goes but with the twist of that Red Herring with Percy claiming to be somewhere else at the time does give you some shivers at the realization. I also like the post-Christmas and New Year's setting of the story as January as always seemed to be the coldest in my experience. The month of January has the potential to be scarier than most people give it credit for.

Okay. So, Sparks’ specialty is adding more insight to stories that were already established. First, there was more insight on the engine that lost her whistle in Scaredy Engines. Now, we have more insight on Jack Frost. I can only imagine Sparks adding more insight to the infamous “Ghost Train Of The Gap”, or the “Old Iron Bridge Ghost”.

This was by far the creepiest of the stories this year. I love how it's unclear whether James was imagining things, or if he really did see the spirit of Jack Frost. Sure looked freaky by the way. I love the idea of an engine with ice-based abilities. It's like the opposite of what an engine typically is, with fire.

I have some ideas for next Halloween. " The Haunted Signal Box" There is an old signal box by a disused branch line. The signal Box hasn't been occupied in years. According to Edward it was once occupied by the best signalman on the railway. One night the signalman died of a sudden heart attack and was discovered by the crew of an old engine when the signal didn't change. And the Signalman's ghost still haunts it. Gordon doesn't believe the story until he sees a light in the old signal box and signal set to red. Gordon freaks out and reverses back to the last station. It turns out Sir Topham Hatt recently reactivated the signal box and hired a new signalman to run it. "Diesel Gets Spooked" Diesel is being haunted by ghost of a diesel express engine that holds Diesel responsible for causing the wreck on the mainland decades ago that ended his life, even though it wasn't Diesel's fault.

This story *Froze* me to the bone (pun maybe intended 😳) when I first saw it. I also love how you added the ‘freeze thaw’ effect I learned that in GCSE Geography. But to see it on a live TTTE Character is incredibly unsettling. The way 13 ‘explodes’ from the water expanding into ice. And the face of the express engine after his boiler implodes. I also like the ending when James and Percy are left in suspense when James realises it wasn’t Percy he saw at Maron as he was asleep at Wellsworth. Not to mention the creepy skeleton like face. Utterly Brilliant yet a frigid story!

Title translates to "Run Cold." Presumably. That is assuming that the first letter is an uppercase I (pronounced "eye"), and not a lowercase l (pronounced "el.") If it is, in fact, a lowercase l, than it instead translates to the slightly more confusing "Oun Cold." A quick Google search says that OUN is short for the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists. While Ukrain is indeed cold, I can't help but think that "Run Cold," is the correct title. In other words, we appear to have another contender for that illustration of a frozen tank engine.

Possible scenario: A few days later- Edward and James have been tasked with pulling the mail train as Percy requires repairs and Thomas is busy at the transfer yards. Edwards was finishing up his last train for the night. Edward- My word…And I thought the last freeze was bad a few d-…Wait…Driver you see something ahead? Driver- Seems like an Engine…Wait…Is that James?…What’s he doing sitting on the main line? Edward- James what are you doing h-OH MY G__! Upon closer inspection James was caked in ice and snow. The most disturbing part was the face of terror frozen under an icey mask…Eyes bulged wide and nose completely black from frost bite. Something was carved into the side of his boiler. Edward- James?…JAMES?! Where’s his crew?! How did this happen?! Fireman- …What the? Beware Jack?…Where’s his- Driver- Uhh lads?…I think I found them. Fireman-… The crew finds James Driver and fireman seemingly flung from his cab having died from the impact there bodies blue with frostbite as well. Edward- …So seems Jack is at it again…We need to get back to the sheds and inform the fat controller about this.

I feel like jack wouldn’t attack industrial and small locomotives since in life he was gruff but friendly with them and that he was warning James about his attitude but didn’t kill him because he wasn’t as bad as the engines he killed. Did he protect Percy from suffering damage from being out all night like he did cause I always thought that Percy would have had some damage from being outside with water in his boiler unless his crew emptied his boiler of water. I’m getting a Scaredy Engine vibe from this story.

I mean was he a bit mean to Thomas’s and Percy when they worked as station pilot yes but that was more you are young and inexperience not I’m more important than you. Pros: The quality of the art and the way it was used in the story were great, with cuts and fade-ins timed perfectly. Also, the climax and ending were really good, and it was cool seeing someone take a shot at making this story scary. Cons: Jack Frost's tale was mostly good, but a little more melodramatic than it needed to be. Perhaps less screaming would've made it better? Overall: 8/10, mostly carried by the awesome art and strong final act. Kudos on making Jack Frost scary!

Goodness can that really happen to an engine if left in the snow?
@22Tesla

I assume it could if the weather was cold enough... but it might not since engine boilers are insulated so they don't lose so much heat. But then again I'm no locomotive expert.

Ya know what? I don't even feel bad for the engine who died in the story. He brought that on himself. Honestly he's the reason that Jack Frost exists. He's Asshole of the Week this week lol

My guess is that the big snooty engine's basis is a GNR O2 tender engine.
