And so it begins, the roof over our feed yards project has to start with making some space, so its out with the old to make room for the new.

Rather than buying new 😅14 foot gates, shorten the 15 foot ones . Dave or Tim could do it for a lot less money than new ones. Also, could you put a temporary opening in the fence to allow access to barn from pasture?

Thank you for the dirt play pile footage. There's something pleasant about a huge animal so curious and playful to get 3 feet higher. I love cattle and yours for sure. Fences and gates are great and necessary. But, they sure do clutter a nice piece of ground don't they.

Steel posts in concrete. I would put bitumen paint on the bottom of the post extending to about 45cm above ground, and wrap the post which would come in contact with the concrete in two layers of plastic, that would help prevent rust/ corrosion and aid easy removal.

Sorry Ian, I didn’t realise that there were bolts/ anchors in the concrete. It’s going to (was) difficult to get the posts out without damage then. Great video as always, best wishes and good health for the future.

That looks nice MR, P out west here in the USA we have big cattle yards and they make very large piles of cow POO and all the cows stand on top of them like King Mountain.

They are dexters, they always wished they where just that little bit taller, so of cause they where gonna climb the pile :) Well knowing all cattle will do exactly the same.
