The Big Con by David Maurer was lauded as the textbook on the confidence game by Elmore Leonard. It was cited in an ACM article on internet scams that noted the long tradition and common traits (e.g. false urgency, appeal to authority). Published in 1940, the book was written by a linguistics professor whose will specified his notes be destroyed to protect his confidential sources. (no pun intended)

12/5/2021 Continued: John Carreyrou, please write your next book about the many companies profiting from the solar geoengineering promoted by David Keith. Please interview engineer Dane Wigington after watching 'Dimming' and his many conferences and interviews of retired air force pilots, the former Premier of British Columbia, Canada, etc. Dane regrets having worked for Bechtel in SF, CA. Dane wants everyone to also watch 'Planet of the Humans' by three old friends from Detroit, including Michael Moore. This is probably ruining the ozone and making the air much less healthy to breathe. It is probably causing skin cancer to sky rocket. It is also probably speeding up the daily extinction of species and the 98 years predicted until people go extinct just like the dodo bird. This was discussed on the BBC program 'The Inquiry' on January 6, 2020. Approximately said "...people have about 100 years left until we go extinct just like the dodo bird." About 1 billion per week is wasted on colonizing space. This is planned child abuse. About 1 billion per week is wasted on DUMBs Deep Underground Military Bases. This 1 billion per week could be much better spent on building 8 billion Biotecture Earthships out of recycled tires, cardboard, soda and beer cans, glass bottles for stain glass walls all to better meet the seven basic needs that architect Michael Reynolds has focused on to save humanity from extinction. About one thousand Earthships have been built all over the world and each is unique to the owner. At least one looks like a very corporate building for his wife to meet clients inside a glass wall gym. Earthships quickly use about 1,000 recycled tires that would otherwise be burned as 'green fuel' or dumped everywhere all over the world. Each Earthship is designed to store the sun's heat for later use at night, inside the walls of tires and under the floors. MR compares Earthships to a battery storing energy for later use.

12/5/2021 John Carreyou and friends, 'Heads Up Attention': New ad on You Tube of a similar machine? It is called something like The...(similar name as Theranos)... Fisher Scientific. Please look it up and discuss this ad on quickly testing blood asa's. Even the model looks similar to Elizabeth Holmes. The emphasis is again on speed.
