Ah people, my Friday night uke fest. The best virtuosos playing some of the best ukes. Look forward to it all week. Love it. Don’t ever stop.

@jonathansadler4911 - I'm watching in England on Saturday afternoon. It's my 'forget about all the worries of the world' time - lol!!! What could be better than listening to these guys playing wonderful music on wonderful ukes and guitars? Nothing - nothing is better (apart from listening to Richard Thompson playing guitar of course)

Ah, Better Together just made me smile. Weren’t those Minervas interesting! And that ‘Oli just sounds wonderful. It’s always a treat to get these three together with Andrew at the wheel. You know it’s gonna be a good ride and it always is. Thanks, guys! 🙂👍🏻

Those Minerva’s sound and look beautiful. And the mango pineapples, wow. Probably the nicest mango I’ve seen.

Always nice to see the four of you together playing well and chatting. A plug for Mika on Ukulele Friends too. He shows some truly endearing ukuleles and demonstrates them with a sincere liking for them.

Three great, great tunes played outstandingly. So enjoyed them. Thanks guys for spreading the joy. What a treat to go through and discuss The Rebel variance in sound with sound ports, just auditory fascinating. Loved all of them. The Oli am sure is till ringing, outrageous sustain. Thanks guys and have a great week.

To my ears, the more sound holes/side ports that were added to the Minervas, the more complex the sound became, until the last one - with five and one - which weirdly sounded more like the original one sound hole uke. The one sound hole design sounded focussed, deep and very loud. I liked the second one, with the sound hole, and two side ports - one on top and one at the front.

Winds of Change. Oh, man. It's 1990 and I'm 14 yo and hovering by the radio waiting to hit play/record on the tape deck to get one more favorite for yet another mix tape. Good times... Mahalo!

That sound sample Mika played on the Kamaka, was that 'What was I made for' by Billie Eilish? Can he teach that as one of the membership lessons?!

No freaking way!!! You guys were not even born when “Winds of Change” came out!!! You guys took me back to when I was 21 years old. I grew up in the hair metal band days of Van Halen and Rush! Can you guys play “Silent Lucidity” by Queensryche? That would be nice to see. You guys are the best!!! When are you men (all 3) coming to the mainland - US and do a tour and master classes? Please come to Houston!!! Keep up the great work!

Do you guys have plans on picking up the Kala contour series ukulele’s? I’d love to hear Kalei and Corey play them and see how they stand up against others like the pono’s

We ordered a bunch but returned them. I was surprised how overbuilt they were. Didn't sound as good as their other models. But maybe they'll adjust them and we will revisit the option. I wanted to like them...🤷🏻♂

@@HawaiiMusicSupplyTUS whoa that’s a shame! They were looking really good but as many as many instruments as you guys go through you’re the only opinion I would go with 😂

Great video as usual. Thanks! I want to purchase a K-1 model, but not sure if those will see upgrades. I know they won’t be discontinued but I don’t want to miss out on some new features if they are around the corner. Hmmm

Apologies for that. For the podcasts I mic up for sound first because we are sampling these and they are making music and I want to capture the ukes and players as best as possible soundwise first. Video is something I'm still learning and I haven't figured out how to get the mics out of the shot and have them in the best spot but I'll try to figure it out. It doesn't have anything to do with which stereo mics I'm using. It's just that the optimal placement is in those areas. But I'll play with it more and try to improve in that way.. Mahalo.
@paouk694411 ай бұрын
i know bla bla quality of sound blabla....position of mics bla bla....i saw you made an effort to try to improve ....but still frustrating...I just hope you can understand how lucky we are to see these masters perform and how frustrating it can be not to see what they are doing?..and having to search and guess....(mics up and down laterally may be good??)....thanks for feedback. best regards hope you'll figure out....mahalo
