Everyone that’s saying this is click bait, it *technically* isn’t. This is a scene from the film “24 Hour Psycho” which is simply Psycho slowed down to 2 frames per second to make it 24 hours long. Not sure why they did it, possibly to make the age rating dudes have to watch the whole thing, same reason for the movie “paint drying” (no joke).
@MagnitudeReviews6 жыл бұрын
mostly because almost every frame looks like a work of art
@ethanchild5824 жыл бұрын
It's also a video installation, not really meant to be watched in its entirety. If you viewed this installation, you would be able to appreciate each individual frame instead of just the whole movie that they make up when combined.

Someone made an art installation where they slowed down the movie psycho to about 2 frames per second which lead to it being 24 hours long instead of 109 minutes, this is a “scene” from it

Moltern it’s contemporary art. contemporary art uses materials such as technology to create work that pushes certain boundaries, so no wonder you don’t see the art in it. you’re not really supposed to.

Douglas Gordon is anything but a genius. If someone can explain to me the reason behind '24 Hour Psyhco' i would love to know.

maybe the most important thing it not the film itself, but the whole process when u to watch it, which gives u enough time to thinking what is film or what is life? (personal view

It's deconstructing iconic images that become part of the culture. It's making us view the true horror of what's happening. Not only the horror of a murder, but the general horror laying at the heart of the culture I mean why do we fetishize these appalling images - why do we become numb to them overtime.
@00MSG4 жыл бұрын
@@JAMAICADOCK What horror lays exactly "at the heart of our culture"? You mean watching a fictitious murder scene is comparable to enjoying real violence, which numbs us? If not, then what is so bad about it and why does it need to be deconstructed by artists? Also, what do you mean by "our culture"? British, western, human? Man has always enjoyed seeing violence, also real violence in the past. Think about the gladiators and others. What's there to deconstruct and critisize?
@00MSG4 жыл бұрын
@@JAMAICADOCK Violence used to be much more prevalent in the past. It seems ridiculous to me say that we have become numb to it.
@JAMAICADOCK4 жыл бұрын
Ancient Rome doesn't need deconstructing, given it's taken for granted it was a brutal culture. It's only cultures that claim to be enlightened that need deconstructing. The everyday horrors we take for granted, that we don't even notice. When Psycho came out it was shocking, now it's just part of Hollywood iconography.
