You can always rely on Foodland to have good food, especially the poke. Legitimately, the poke from this grocery store chain is usually rated among some of the best in the islands, more than some of the more fancy versions you'll find around. It's clean, simple, and always amazing.

7:00 That is a classic Hawaiian side called lomi lomi salmon. The word comes from the term of mixing and turning, and there is also a popular massage method that is similar in motion. Absolutely delicious, and is rather similar to pico de gallo, plus the small bits of salmon.

Can I correct you on your Japanese? Lol! I’ll be heading to my mom’s homeland (Maui) this year. We eat at my relative’s house (lol) and a have a huge family reunion at the Okinawan Center. You should go to Guri Guri for sherbet and Home Maid Bakery for mochi. Yummy! The ‘salsa’ you were referring to is called, ‘lomi lomi salmon.’ I just go to my cousin’s for poke since he’s a fisherman. Lol! The li hing mui is good! If I have leftover spam musubi, I just leave it out for the night and it tastes fine the day after so it’s not cold. I put spam in the middle (that’s how it’s suppose to be made). Next time, look for the Maui red hot dog! That’s my favorite hot dog! My co-worker made and sold ube cookies and it was yummy! I have had broken glass. I think a relative made it for a party and it was yummy!

You can also take all that stuff and make kalua or poke nachos 🤩 kalua pig or raw or seared poke over chips, sprinkle with the lomi salmon or lomi tomato, drizzle with Sriracha mayo and or wasabi mayo. Put some wakame/ocean salad on the side too. Those Big Cheese Bobs are kinda weird and sweet, but I want to popularize the name to describe someone who's doing well. Thanks for making me re-appreciate the 7-11 food. Those arabiki breakfast bowls are the late night drunk meal.
