There is child support law in Jamaica. The parent with the custody can take the other parent to court. It’s just because the judicial system is so slow, people don’t have time to waste in court. However, there are parents, especially dads who have to pay child support, according to the court’s ruling.

Child support is 3 x lower than America though cost of living is the same people learn to expect less. You can't survive on child support amounts monthly. Because generally wages are lower

@@jayc3614 But that's exactly what's so wrong about "child support", why should anyone be "surviving" on it?!? It shouldn't exist. Each parent should be responsible for their own income instead of being a parasite and enslaving the other! Children should have the right to see both parent's equally and both parents ought to be responsible for the children when they're with them. This is where the rights of children in so many countries are completely ignored and results in blatant abuse of fathers globally.

The Jamaican currency used to be the exact same currency that was used in England - the same pounds, shillings and pence, but when England went metric in 1971 it changed and Jamaica started using dollars and cents. The United Kingdom's currency was decimalised in 1971 to pounds and pence (instead of pounds, shillings and pence). About Jamaicans needing visas for England: Jamaicans could travel freely to the UK as visitors, for up to 6 months without needing a visa but the visa regime was introduced in Jamaica in 2003 because visas were used to curb what had become an increasing number of Jamaicans trying to break British immigration rules, and a very high percentage were not returning home to Jamaica and many were also getting involved in criminal activities. Many of the other British Caribbean islands are still able to travel visa free to the UK, but Jamaicans now need to apply for visas!

You will be immune to the strain you were infected by, but if you are infected by other strains it's certain death. This is what I was told by Doctors in Isla Margarita. Glad to see you up and about again after your fever. There is a Child Support law in Jamaica but it's rarely taken into court as most men accept their responsibility even if they don't always have the resources to pay regularly. Jamaica is also a developing country with far less opportunity than Israel which is a Developed First World country comparable to the Industrial European and American models. No comparison with Jamaica. When middle class Jamaicans are taken to court for child support, many pay out a lot but the working class and those making very little in salary do their best, and if they can, seek opportunity abroad. Jamaica is still developing and hopefully one day will get to be what Israel is today, with lots of educated people from around the globe building and constantly developing. Good luck with your recovery and enjoy the rest of your time in Jamaica.

Sizlin grill is really good. But expensive for the regular jamaican pocket. That plaza is pretty close to uptown communities so its geared toward that sort of market. Its simple open concept. Ibstill remember eating sizzlin grill for the first time for my birthday. It was very good food. I still remeber the blue ribbon and mushroom burger. Jamaicans dont usually eat mushrooms so it deffinitly stood out. It is very very good quality food. I love burgers.

Take better care of yourself. Covid make alot of people realized that sanitizing is what kept you safe. This practice was always around but most people only realized that during covid and stopped after the epidemic calm down but its still out there among other stuff. Be careful of your surroundings and sanitize more. Wear masks more too especially when flying, dont wait for people to tell you when to wear masks.

Prison facilities are pretty rudimentary in jamaica but the big criminals get lots of allowances it came in the newspaper back in the day how there was a party in the jail haha. And like every other prison in the world they smuggle contraband

Usually the fathers that migrate are hard workers. Even there are deadbeat dads they have social relationship even if not monetary. They may provide in kind rather than cash. It varies. But men are very proud to be fathers generally. It is actually used to tease men who havent become fathers. Especially on fathers day. They call them geldings. 😂😂😂. It is a horse term transferred to males in jamaica that have reached a certain age and dont have children. They will often say in conversation im on the gelding truck or i just came off the gelding truck. Still probably a reference to the horse trainer origin
