Yes, In most of the European countries people prefer to commute in town area by bicycle.I remember our Ambassador in the Netherlands ( Mr Venurajamoni) used to go his office in bicycle. Even during his send off the mayor of Den Haag (The Hague) came to Indian Embassy by bicycle to mark respect to Mr Venurajamoni!

Wow, I did not know you came to Belgium. I am in West Flanders in Belgium past many years. Nice to see the video. You saw "appi" of humans, because of the "Farmer's protest "all over Europe, where they blocked all the borders between countries. Many truck drivers from different countries were blocked for 2 to three days, nowhere to go, no toilets, no food, water! And you arrived there, when the protests were just finished!! Kortijk town is pronounced as Kortreik. It is only 40 minutes drive from my house. We all speak Dutch/ Flemish in this part of Belgium. Kortrijk is a small city compared to Brussels, Antwerp, Ghent, Liege cities etc. Most of Belgian cities are very clean, Belgian natives keep it clean, as well as their houses are super clean. Teh shopping center where you went is called the "K".

Language spoken in North Belgium and Brussels is mostly Flemish, its similar to Dutch. South Belgium, Wallonia speak mostly French. Most popular food would be mussels, waffles, stroopwafels, speculoos, handmade chocolate, french fries with mayonnaise 🙂 Waterloo in South Belgium is famous too. Lot of history related to WW1 and WW2, Napoleon Bonaparte etc. Flower Carpet is a famous event that takes place every year. Nice video, brought back a lot of memories from my life in Belgium.
