How do you get the green pass for travel in Europe? Were you able to use your US Covid card to obtain the pass and, if so, where do you go to do so?
@KeepGoingPlaces2 жыл бұрын
They recognize the US CDC Covid vaccination card so you can just show them that. We heard some EU countries will let you register for the green pass/QR but couldn’t determine how to do it in Italy. We only had one issue getting rejected entrance and that was at the cafe at the Palermo Sicily train station.

I will be there next month! What are the rules about masks? I researched that official N95 masks are needed. Can you you confirm that?
@KeepGoingPlaces2 жыл бұрын
Yay, that’s exciting! The N95/FFP2 masks are required on all public and commercial transport (e.g. metro, bus, trains). But, surgical masks were fine everywhere else. I don’t think N95/FFP2 were required at the attractions we visited. Rules may have changed since then though, so best to double check. These rules are constantly changing!

Is Green Pass needed indeed? Is it possible to get in with a non EU covid certificate?
@KeepGoingPlaces2 жыл бұрын
Yes and yes. The answer is complex depending on which country you are traveling from and which activities you want to participate in while in iItaly. If you’re coming from the US, then your CDC vaccination card will suffice as the green pass and allow you to do pretty much everything. Here’s more info at the US website explaining the current rules: it.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/
