We’re Matt & Karla, a Canadian couple with two totally different backgrounds.
Matt is the “quintessentially Canadian”, born under the northern lights in Northern Alberta with family all over the country, whereas Karla is originally from Mexico City, bringing a totally fresh perspective to a country she has fallen in love with.
Over the past 10 years, we have travelled to 42 countries spanning six continents, which has given us the expertise to plan amazing trips and find memorable experiences.
In 2017, we decided to explore our own massive backyard with Road to 150, a 150-day #roadtrip across #Canada, witnessing the beauty and diversity of this country and sharing our experiences through video, pictures, social media, and articles. Since then, we’ve helped thousands of Canadians and travellers worldwide make the most of every Canadian experience.

I fell in love with Vancouver in 1982 when I was 7 and dreamed of living there. I was able to move in 2005 to Vancouver Island. We were able to go over for a day for the Olympics in 2010 and whenever I go (which unfortunately isn’t often), I love visiting Gastown. I have a pic as a kid in front of the steam clock back in ‘82 and got one of my daughter in ‘10. Vancouver is a beautiful city and I’m glad that you got to enjoy it. I look forward to your video about your journey on the Mountaineer. I have to admit, I’m a bit jelly.

That's awesome! We often think of moving to the Island as well, although everywhere is getting so expensive now. And yes, Gastown is also one of our favourites :)

I once walked from Canada Place all the way around Stanley Park, and I didn't take precautions so ended up with some serious blisters. I would encourage others to rent bicycles if they want to go all the way around.

Hi Matt and Karla. I have been to Vancouver once. That was back in the late '80's. I am surprised you didn't blur out the guy in the Oilers jersey. Hope the Oilers win the Stanley Cup. The Habs was the last Canadian team to win the Cup way back in 1993. Keep on having Fun and on to the next Adventure.

Even though I grew up in Vancouver (now live in Rothesay, NB), I still learned so much from your video! I’ve never been to the Bill Reid Museum and yet I love museums, go figure! 🙄 Thanks for sharing an informative and entertaining video! I sent the link to friends who will be visiting Vancouver from New Brunswick for two nights just for inspiration. 😊

Great video of a great place! I first went there for Expo86. Finally made it back there in 2017. Stayed in Gastown, did a great bike tour through Stanley Park, took the ferry to Granville Island, and the tour circled back through Olympic Village and Gastown. Such a beautiful city! We went to the Capilano Suspension Bridge Park then next day and enjoyed it! Love your videos!! 😍

I'm so sorry for Canada. Most things about a good Canada are not true, Including clean cities - beaches, and forests. It's a big lie. The first time I arrived in Vancouver in 2018, I was shocked. As soon as I left the airport door, I saw tissue, disposable glasses, and other garbage left in the city. The further I went, the more I saw them. Before I moved to Canada, I lived in Georgia, Armenia, Turkey, Serbia, The United States, and for a short time in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Netherland, Germany, and England, but I have never seen the amount of garbage that people leave in different Canadian cities. Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec are no less than Vancouver. Canadian and Canada Governments don't care about this tragedy. I think everything that says about Canada as a clean and powerful culture is not true. You don't need to travel to Canada to see this. Just watch some videos about walking in downtown Vancouver, Toronto, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec. You will find the truth. Impossible for you to walk in a Canadian city and you don't see the dark side of that. Everywhere you will see garbage. You will never see this in Europe, Australia, the United States, Japan, and Korea. This amount of waste is not even seen in Malaysian, Indonesian, or Thailand cities. It is impossible for you to use public transport and not see a lot of garbage at stations or on the route. You will be surprised to find a lot of garbage even in the woods - by the rivers and on the beaches in Canada. I wish the Canadians woke up and had no enmity with their country.

Sorry mate but this is a total lie. Some cities have problem areas, but generally speaking very clean. Calgary is the cleanest city on Earth. USA is way dirtier. Try LA, Seattle, Portland, New york, etc. Europe, same thing. UK, Italy, Germany, all have dirty cities. Malaysia is WAY DIRTIER! We lived in Panang and it was disgusting. Full garbage bags floating in the ocean. You really don't know what you're talking about
