My favorite idiom might be "at the crack of dawn". In fact I used it while chatting with a co-worker recently. About the second task I would say that "my boss loses the track of time when she's speaking in our work meetings on Mondays", "last Wednesday I was run out of time when a deadline was approaching at the end of the day" and "right after finishing work on Fridays I have a race against the clock to find a parking space outside of the gym". Hello Annemarie, to kick things off, I'd like to thank you for your invaluable job of bringing us to be more confident in English. My favorite idiom from this lesson is 'in the nick of time' as I'm not very puctual and I'm so over the moon if I manage to be at the particular place on time🙂 Here's my example: I woke up late yesterday and to add insult to injury I couldn't find my wallet anywhere, but I made it to the meeting just in the nick of time. Here the answer to your second question: I was pressed for time last week as I had to get my car repaired by Thursday. So, in order to beat the clock, I decided to go to the car repair shop at lunch time on Wednesday. I thought that I had a lot of time on my hands, but when I arrived at the car repair shop there was a long queue. Ultimately, because of the queue, I ran 30 minutes late to my workplace and was told off by my boss. Thank you very much for your time in advance!

Yeah... Admired of your patience teaching pace and awesome speaking tones enable to build up the learners' confidence.👏👍 Actually, my absolute favorite idiom was "once in a blue moon". Created Scenario: As for my father's side relatives, I met them merely once in a blue moon in Chinese New Year reunion. Three idioms from this lesson and use them to describe your week. Created Scenario: Being an Adidas warehouse operator, mostly I'm being assigned to do the cycle count by using the digital hand pad. Due to the pressed time, I need to scan the apparels' barcode faster before running out of time. Despite of that, your scanning barcode items must have accuracy, if not will be redo. Mostly, I failed to complete it in the nick of time, that's why I'm being questioned up by my leader: "Can you make some improvement of your work?" She said in a calm way without throwing her temper on me...Well, really scared me.😰

She was preparing a suitcase full of some important documents, IDs, clothes, and plenty of cash. She said that someone should be (PREPARED FOR A RAINY DAY). What I understood from it is that: someone should be ready for any unexpected emergencies..
