Despite her dinner with her future in laws last night wasn’t as she expected, my friend was in good spirits today. I was disappointed with the store manager. He didn’t handle the situation well, but instead of me getting irritated by it I kept my cool. My sister’s cute puppy lashed out when he saw my dogs. Thank you for the terrific idioms. 🏵

Try to use idioms I learnt from the video to express my feelings while watching and after watching. I kept my cool in the first place as I assumed that this course would be tough, telling from the length of this video. However, I was over the moon when finished learning all the idioms.

Hi Annemarie, back again after going through a hectic patch. Anyway, I´ve chosen three idioms that have drawn my attention and suited me to the ground. first, to be even keeled. sometimes I wish I were even keeled when i have to work with a person who really gets under my skin. he annoys me in a way that I´d be pleased to see the back of him for a long time. we don´t see eye to eye over numerous things. the second idiom is to flip a lid. i´ve chosen it because it rings a bell but I wouldn´t use it that sure. i´ve been racking my brain and there it goes...my head of department flipped her lid when she checked out that the book sales had gone down due to" negligence". she mouthed the word. the third is to weep for joy. ...last year I wept for joy at the wedding of a niece in the UK, it was a family get-together and I hadn´t seen some of them for years.
