The idea I had in an Underfell fan game is that the pacifist route would be the route where you would need to fight Sans but that you would still persevere due to the support of the friends you made along the way raising your HP with Love not "LoV" sort of "there's power in kindness" vibe You could say it's a bit of a cheesy idea, but I like the message it leaves.

iirc this fangame just doesn't have any way to game over (being at 0HP doesn't do anything), so you basically have infinite HP throughout the battle (makes sense given your damage taken is treated as a score at the end).
