2428-Ex-Allied Waste WX64 McNeilus Autoreach on Greens Pt.2/2

This truck is in perpetuity! Two of its sister trucks have been scrapped, (90 & 91), but 28 and its main sister truck, (2427), are still around! Obviously I think it's badass because the WX64's are really cool but damn! I've filmed this truck a couple times before just kinda randomly but this time was like the "official recording session." I'm not sure how much longer they're going to keep this truck around but I don't anticipate it'll be very much longer. Then again, I've been saying that for 2 years lol.
It's SO trippy; it seems as though the WXLL's have a shorter wheel base because when the grippers are fully retracted, one of them is about a foot away from the back tire. On this truck though, there's about 3 feet of room between the gripper and the tire. And then on ACX's, there are a few different placements for the rear axles so it's hard to even gauge that. If you have any ideas on why that it please let me know in the comments because I'm perplexed!

Man it's crazy how your side of Niles runs old Diesels and my side of Niles runs all CNG/CNRG 520's. Dammit I miss my old Diesels! Lol. I believe the LL's have a shorter body.. maybe 40 cubic yards? And the 64's/had the larger 60 cubic yard body. The new gen Autoreach's are similar to the 64's body.

This was actually filmed in Irivngton I think! My trucks are 2502 on greenwaste, 2451 on recycling and I think 2506 on Landfill That would make sense and you're right McNeilus bodies went from long to short to long again 😅

@@fremontgarbagetrucks Well isn't Irvington lucky lol! It seems we share the same greenwaste truck. That new muffler cap it has installed makes it look even more strange. I wonder if McNeilus will learn from Heil one day and put out Autoreach's with CNRG tailgates. Better than that CNG box up top. Yeah. Alot of Autoreach's now are the 60 Yard body's. Would be interesting to see a 40 on a Peterbilt 520.
