Wow, you do things that I would never think of! I have tried the resin in the same type of bottles but cannot get it to flow out. I did cover the bottles but I am using High Viscosity UV resin. Would using a lower viscosity resin help it flow better? Thanks Dan!

Hi Deb, yes, 100%, the Resin Rockers Clear Hard is really low viscosity, otherwise, you could try warming your bottle first to lower the viscosity 😁

I tried to write a word with resin, too. First, I wrote on UV resin paper. I used a marker and several pens. It worked very well for writing some messages. Second, I used a bottle. It was too difficult for me, and it wasn’t easy to control. Third, I made a UV resin icing sauce. It’s like icing for cookies. It doesn’t require using a bottle and is easy to clean up. This is how I trace patterns on glass (after a primer for adhesitive). Then I fill it in with colored resin for stained glass pieces. They are a definite hit and I have enough requests to keep me busy for a year 🤣 I use bronze, gold or black for the outline. Rock on Daniel, you da resin man! 💞

If you are using the heart mold, you could leave out the resin heart and use a 3rd flower - since the shape already shows the theme. However the drawing & writing with resin is really cool.❤

I have some of these bottles & different sized needle tip attachments. I think the main issue regarding cleaning is not so much the resin in the bottle but cleaning out the needle tip nose so that you can change them to fine to wide width needle tip noses. Especially the fine/very narrow needle top noses.

Hi Dan, just a quick idea off the top of my head... Have you thought about putting clear resin directly on one of these holographic build sheets for 3D printers? These print surfaces have microscospically fine etchings which transfer over to the molten plastic, so that you get some cool pattern embedded into the bottom layer (repeating patterns like carbon fiber, geometric shapes, but also more complex designs). Especially the holographic ones can look pretty awesome from different light angles. I'm sure you could make this work with resin, too :)

This is brilliant! The possibilities are endless! Have you experimented with toilet paper in resin, like paper mache? I know you have to be careful adding glue to resin, but if you do a layer of resin and let it cure, then add a layer of paper mache, I feel like you could use it to make a cool tye-dye design, but I haven't had a chance to try it.

Just a thought ..why don't you add just a little drop and cure it to the tip of your bottle cap? That way you'll see your colors at a glance when you get in a zone instead of breaking the groove to hunt for the color you need. Just an idea, incase your brain spins like mine because you never know when your inspiration will inspire another tweak you didn't see when you first started.😊

By squishing the circle into a flatter "nib," you have made a calligraphy pen. With calligraphy, we always use a downward stroke. You could then cure each "stroke".
