Thank you for taking your time to look at the iCEBreaker. I am glad I could help you out setting up the LED panel streaming player. The V1.0c of the iCEBreaker has a solder jumper on the back of the board to add the additional signal. We are working on having all these details documented so it is easy to reproduce for anyone who wants to give it a go! :D

Glad to see you all survived. I used to live in SE QLD, inland a ways, one storm tossed cricket ball sized hailstones at us. Left small splits in the tin roof, thick galvanised tin not zinc-alume, stripped trees bare fortunately none came down. Merry Christmas.

Wow mate, glad to see no one was hurt, thats alot of mess though. The last decent hurricane here in Florida brought down a tree in my yard which took a while to remove, so im guessing cleanup is going to take some time there. Do keep us updated on progress of the cleanup and welldone for getting this video out.

Glad to see you and your family are ok, Mick. Yeah, nature does not dick around when enraged. We had a bit of a storm here in Canada, BC, this week, some casualties sadly but considering the hours of unrelenting +100km gusts of wind and the power outage aftermath we were super lucky all in all. I saw several trash bins, tarpaulins, assorted garden implements, kid garden toys, plastic garden chairs and one plastic table (not mine) etc fly by my windows at high speed - by, not through, so, phew.

It would be cool if jlcpcb provide you the Gerber of their double sided stencil. I tried to align both front and back face but looks like they have put some offset so it's hard to align both in a single "run". If they told you the spec's you could make a custom jig and apply solder paste on 2 board at the same time (top and bottom)

Sorry for the rough weather and bum car buddy. Hope it gets better from here on. If you haven't already done an upload about it, I'd appreciate a quick explanation of Tindie vs eBay as a seller, at some point. eBay isn't the best place for retail sales but a lot of your viewers, like myself, probably have some experience on that platform. I spent a couple of years doing it full time. While some different eBay categories have different fees and percentages, selling high end bicycles in the six figures/year range wound up costing between 26 and 28 percent after all eBay and PayPal fees were accounted for. They intentionally make it almost impossible to calculate the total cost to sell, but I tracked everything in detail in excel. It took almost 3 months from the date of sale before ALL of the fees and costs could be accounted for. I don't recall if my quoted percentages included shipping or not, but it may have been as that was essentially a fee. Anyways...the numbers just didn't add up for the massive amount eBay charges to sell there. At least this was the case with the stuff I had access to at the time. I'm curious how Tindie compares as far as the business model and fees. Sure I could do my research and all, but I'm not actively seeking out such an option currently. It's more a casual/future curiosity. I'm also curious about how to source an assembler without having complete reels. I've seen EEV Dave's upload saying it's practically impossible or completely cost prohibitive to outsource assembly without reels and trays. What is the cheapest and most effective low cost of entry option to seek out, and what should I steer clear of when I don't have the budget to "go big." Happy Holidays. Thanks for the upload. -Jake

What kind of tree is that on top of your car Mick? The bark looks like it could be a Manzanita, but the tree is far to large for it to be one of those. Weird thing to ask, I know. As usual, great video, way to power through the disaster.

Gum tree
@MickMake6 жыл бұрын
Thanks mate. That tree is a good old Ozzie gum tree. Great trees if you're a koala, but very annoying around the suburbs. They often drop large branches and the leaves can't be swept up or blown with a vac easily.

@@MickMake Sounds a lot like Pecan trees we have in Florida. They self prune and sometimes the branches can be several cm in diameter, all while still being green. So you have no warning usually when it's going to drop.
