On the edge of the Black Forest, near Rottweil, stands one of Germany's tallest buildings: the TK Elevator Test Tower. In this 246 meter high building, high-speed elevators are tested - at the same time, the viewing platform at a height of 232 meters is open to visitors. In our film, Holger Hinz from Werner Sobek AG talks about the planning and construction of the test tower and takes a look behind the scenes of the building. He shows one of the elevator shafts, explains what the 240-ton pendulum is used for and why the tower is sometimes purposely set in motion. Enjoy our tour through the test tower!
