8. "To dismember the body of Christ over politics is a grevious sin." I would argue that every schism, reformation, and denomination is dividing over politics... ear-regardless of how it pertained to the government should fall under that category. Though I don't know how anyone outside of a Top Down edict from on High could possibly claim to establish "THE" one thing to agree on when there are so many differing views, thoughts, or understandings about the truth of something such as "deity of Christ... before birth, during baptism, fully God or fully man or upon death, or upon resurrection...etc." There is just no way you can avoid "division" if there are more than ONE way to understand something as "Truth". 9. Voting your conscience knowing a "brother" is voting different than you... is how the schisms and reformations, and denominations exist. 10. Not speaking for anyone else... I don't vote for "political team" I vote for individuals who say they will act in ways aligned with ideals least harmful to people and the Nation according to how I understand them. It just so happens that most of the recent history shows one political party taking stances on issues in a way I agree or disagree with... more than the other. "on the debate stage" poking fun, pointing out opponents faults, civility & Christian civility, The bible doesn't seem to put any emphasis nor expectation of respectful tenor when conveying "truth" or condemning characters. I would presume that is because "respect" as it pertains to anyone in positions of authority is weighed against different cultures. The OT emphasised respect and honor toward men only because they were Yahweh's "Elect" people. Culturally speaking... the things that we read coming out of the mouths of the Prophets in the OT toward those being condemned or warned... are about as harsh as you can imagine. Men claiming to be a proxy for Yahweh harshly and categorically condmened whole groups of people for being on the wrong "wrong side of history". Often these words were uttered by men claiming to be speaking for God toward those who disobeyed Him, stood against His people, or acting in ways He did not approve of or having other gods. What is different about people or circumstances today? Is there no longer that condemnation for those who fall under those categories? Hosea 13:16 Samaria will pay the penalty for her guilt, Because she has rebelled against her God. They will fall by the sword, Their children will be slaughtered, And their pregnant women will be ripped open. Either the whole planet is "the kingdom of God" or geographical "Israel" is still the promised Zion where Yahweh said He would establish His people forever in the latter days. If one wants to insert Biblical narratives and principals into "Politics" and specifically those of "USA"... I don't see what precedent they have to do so.

Zack, I get where you're coming from with the 2 choices before us. However if you value the limits on government... It is clear that one party is known for trying to "conserve" those very founding principles. Right? One party clearly views it as "backwards" has less love & pride in the nation & wants to alter the nation to fit their "progressive" ideals. Voting for a "type" of person isn't all you would be voting for. Your conscience should also consider the scope of vice president, cabinets, judicial nominees, etc.
