The Bitter End yacht club is an absolutely amazing place. It was great to see all the changes from what it was like 26 years ago when my wife and I first visited. It is truly one of the most charming places you can sail and I am glad to see it had the same impact on you as it did on us. Thanks for sharing your trip what an inspiration!

Johan, I could see the gears cranking in your head as you pondered the luxury and convenience of life in a resort hotel. Don't give in to it brother! While sipping a cool drink on the shaded deck of their villas in such places of resort, many guests envy the lives of the sailors like you and Malin as they see you sailing off over the horizon. When they rent a hobie cat from the beach, they wish they didn't need to return it when the allotted time was up. They long to break free from the chains that tie them to life on land. I know this because I have been in their shoes on many occasions, and that is why your sailing channel is so popular with your viewers. Your life is the life they dream of. So Johan, once you've had your fill of pampering on terra firma, please gather up your lovely partner and all of your gear, and take us back to the dream life that only a sailor can live. Help us to keep the dream alive. You are the Wizzard Oz, and Malin is Dorothy. Please throw away the ruby slippers before something terrible happens. We don't want to return to life in Kansas! Take us back, somewhere over the rainbow, where dreams really can come true.

We live in Malmö, we are huge fans of Ran sailing, always making a cup of te and watching your episodes. Last week I was out sailing with a friend, Stefan, a Maxi 77 between Västra hamnen and Lomma. He starts talking about a guy who rented his 11 square meter apartment who had sailed around the world, including South Georgia. Having a boat and being mesmerized by everybody sailing around the world I instantly asked what his name was. I googled the name and a picture of you two came up. It can´t be I thought, but it surprisingly enough was. Funny coincidence, I myself have once, about 15 years ago, rented the same room. Its a really small world!!!

At 3:42, you are correct that is a lot of diesel. It looks, to me, like a converted oil field crew boat from the Gulf of Mexico. Looks about 45 or 50 Ft and will usually run either 8 or 12 cylinder engines. Lots more diesel than a sailboat engine! I do love the wind power!

I found your channel when you were on route to Alaska and really enjoyed the sailing and thought I’d start at the beginning. When you sailed over to the Caribbean I was hopping you would be going to the BVI’s. I have sailed those waters over Christmas and New Years 5 times and love so many places but the BEYC is one of the best!
