Hey guys, thanks for watching the review! I hope you enjoyed it:) I've contacted Richard LeGrand about the watches being "out of stock". They told me that both the black and the PVD versions should be back in stock after September 8th. I hope that helps and good luck, Oleg and Bond.

Don't worry about setting the date on your watches. Not setting the date will enable one to live either in the past or the future and not having to be responsible for anything. According to my watch, I made this comment a week ago. A total anxiety buster...

Hello Oleg and Bond. Very nice diver watch, the back with the engraving is awsome !

Nice watch review Oleg. I could not have agreed more on value in relations to price point. My own favorite take on divers is Orient's Mako XL. Its my main stay for many years despite its flaws. Grateful to have at least experienced the joy of owning a divers watch.
@24hourstime6 жыл бұрын
Thank you Thomason! Orient Mako XL is a really nice watch. I love that design. I have the Mako II. In my opinion the design of XL is better but the specs on II won me over. All the best, Oleg.

Thanks Oleg! Yeh I agree with you there. There will always be trade offs between Orient's divers and their other watch lines. Glad to know that we share the same enthusiasm in Orient's divers. Best regards, Thomason

I got the 12 hr bezel one with the date window powered by Nh35a. Mine runs at +36s a day. Crown is a tad problematic as it does not always screw in smoothly.

Such a simple, clean dial. Looks awesome without the date window. If they cut down on the dimensions by a mm all around I’d be all over it. 40x13x46x20 would be perfect. Perhaps on their second version 🙏🏼

Hi Oleg, I enjoyed the review and as you know I have this watch in blue on pre order for delivery in November. The watch looked good in your review and I think you gave it a fair assessment. It's certainly a handsome and stylish looking timepiece and I'm looking forward to owning one. I'll be checking the bezel though to ensure alignment is true but to be honest, if I have to stare hard at it to detect a fraction of a millimetre out , I'll let it slide. I enjoy the design of this watch without the date function and I'm very keen to see what the sapphire bezel offers over more traditional aluminium or ceramic. I'm glad your overall impression was positive , I was keen to hear what you thought of it after hinting that you had this model coming up for review. I'll certainly let you know what I think of it after I've had it for a few weeks - hopefully I'll be as impressed as you were - I was pleased with the price they had it for during the last week in August - $239 is a steal for this watch. Thanks again for the review - I enjoy the channel.
@24hourstime6 жыл бұрын
Thank you Tom. Glad that you could order the blue one before it was sold out. I think I would prefer the blue one to this black version. Although black does go with everything. I think you will be impressed with it. The level of finishes and specs you get for $240 is amazing. Sure, there are some downsides (as I mentioned in the review) but as a package deal - the design, the specs and the finishes get thumbs up. Do let me know how you like it once you receive yours. All the best, Oleg.

Of course the NH-35 and 200m WR can be had in an Invicta (w/ date window) for around 80 bucks. Why do I agree with you that this watch is worth more than 3X that price? Simply the finish and the aesthetic. First it's a beautiful watch to look at and at first glance appears to be in the next higher range of divers that sell for $600 and up. Secondly it is not an homage, rather a watch that creates it's own style with simple yet well thought out additions as you mentioned the hands, the polishing, etc. If I was searching for a new diver (and who isn't?), the Richard LeGrand would be at the top of the list for consideration.

Great pints Charlie. I think original design is often overlooked. It's not easy to create an original design good looking watch in such saturated market.

With all the watches with misaligned bezels everywhere. If a person had a watch with a perfectly aligned bezel, they would stand out in a crowd. How much more would you pay for a watch that had a perfectly aligned bezel? I think 50 bucks is worth that status.

Very nice! Wish more divers didn't have the date on (take note Seiko!!)- after all, you're unlikely to need to know the day or date at the bottom of the ocean!- I realise most divers never see the sea (mine included) & are used as "desk" or "dress divers" & this is a useful complication for many, but they do look rubbish & ruin the symmetry & I really can't see why manufacturers can't release two versions of their watches. Cheers 👍👍

What would you recommend for a 39 or 40mm diver under 400$
@chrismoore60106 жыл бұрын
Hey Oleg and Mr Bond. 🐕Was looking forward to seeing this, after seeing it on your Instagram post. It does look a good watch and I love it in the Black PVD. But I think I'd go for the Orient Ray Raven 2 which is prob around the same price and I think you prob get a bit more for your money (I nearly went for that a while ago but went for orange Ray 2 instead because although All black is cool, just ask Batman 🦇, I just wanted a bit of colour on my wrist 🍊). But as said great watch and definitely a good option if you are in the market for an affordable diver ⌚
@24hourstime6 жыл бұрын
Hey Chris. Orient Raven 2 is a great watch and a great choice 👍 Richard LeGrand has a lot of benefits but sometimes you can't beat veterans like Orient. All the best, Oleg.

Yes, it looks like a very cool watch and looks quite good on your wrist. Specially I just love the design work of the back casing. they have put together everything quite well and it seems like a good watch specially for the price. However as you said, the bezel does not line up properly and they should be able to fix that easily or probably they already have, I hope. by the way, is Richard LeGrand another micro new brand? first time seeing and hearing about the watch, Oleg. PS: your dog, Bond, behaves so well on the camera. however, it behaves so well that I am wondering whether you sedate Bond with some medication before filming??? ha ha ha.
@24hourstime5 жыл бұрын
Yes, Richard LeGrand is another micro-brand. I think this is their second offering. It's quite impressive especially for the money. I really like the blue version of this watch. Although black diver does go with everything. Bond get's lots of exercise so when it's time to film he's all tired out lol

Thanks for the review. Not a bad watch. Sadly let down by lack of domed crystal and pierced lugs. Hey ho....
@keno776 жыл бұрын
The watch looks great but I'm missing some crowngards, it wouldn't be funny to get a hit on the crown, even if it is a screwdown crown, it still could make some damage to the watch.
@24hourstime6 жыл бұрын
You're right that's the danger of watches without crown guards. But I have to admit I do like that style. All the best, Oleg.

Wooooow!! In plus: toolwatch, Brushed finish, lume, movement, sapphire crystal with AR, and dat caseback... poem! In minus: no date, so for EDC toolwatch is for discussion :) If I will make decission for another watch with high WR, I'll propably look for Vostok Europe diver models like N1 or K-3 I can choose between chrono quartz/Seiko Auto movements :) Or Parnis Diver for Budget choice ;)

Is it better than Orient Mako??
@drwindsurf6 жыл бұрын
+1 That is a really good question - Thanks for asking
@24hourstime6 жыл бұрын
Great question Ernest. My answer might make some people upset with me but I think that it is better than Orient Mako II. Although it is almost twice as expensive. I think the finishes are better, bracelet is definitely better, sapphire crystal and lumed sapphire bezel are big pluses. The movements in both watches are about the same and bezels on both don't align property lol. But Orient does have the history and the brand recognition. All the best, Oleg.
@drwindsurf6 жыл бұрын
Now I want it even more - I'll have to look for it on the used market

Hard question to answer. I think quality wise they are about the same. Phoibos does have a property aligning bezel and a better movement. So it depends on which design you prefer. Either watch is great. All the best, Oleg.

I have a collection of 4 wrist watches and 2 pocket watches ranging in price...the reality is no one comments on any of my wrist watches. the average person just isn't interested. I am sure this watch is good value, well built, but it screams 'average'. there is nothing here of any interest. buy it or don't because no one will ever notice.
